In this case I'm more concerned with our bid being accepted... After us dithering for ages over the payment structure for Soldado; I can see a desperate Liverpool or even United offering a much more generous structure.

Seems strange for United to be in for him with Ashley Young, Rooney, Nani, Valencia and Kagawa all fighting for positions behind RVP. But if they are in for Willian then we aren't even in contention.

They really want(ed) Fabregas and I think Willian is plan B for them.

Fabregas is a proper CM who could play alongside Carrick. They're really after a Scholes replacement and I don't think Willian is that.

I bet they're taking the shotgun approach. Sending out a bunch of offers to get the ball rolling and to see if shit sticks and then move from there. Surely they wouldn't sign Willian AND fellaini if both offers were to be accepted. It's just a responsible way to get things done quickly as they'll have deals in works for multiple (backup?) options.
That's weird because I am sure I saw him at the game yesterday? (ie he wasn't watching it on TV) Thanks for passing on though.

Me neither, but I also think that Kagawa is incredible player and they probably don't. Also Willian is very versatile, covers lot of positions.

I can't see Levy matching the 50% future fee of Liverpool if that is true. I could though, see him kicking a bit extra into the agent's fee to avoid competing with such an offer.
