Done some digging.

Sunday paper market is the most competitive apparently. Need big stories on a sunday. Journo i just spoke to said that all this is based on the marca story and the guy who wrote the guardian piece, david hayter is an absolute staunch gooner

SO SO SO excited about Soldado!!!

regarding Bale, I think if the majority of us are being truthful with ourselves we would all like him to stay but if we did receive bid in excess of £80 mil + we would all seriously consider it.

but as a fan I hope that IF we were to sell bale for £80 mil + we would receive a huge lump sum upfront and not via addons!! while also reinvesting at least 80% straight back into the team.

but regardless I do prey Bale stays!!

either way we are in a WIN WIN situation where we either KEEP BALE or get £80 + mil!!

p.s. Thank you to all the nice messages earlier....SERIOUSLY appreciated, my boy is ok and back home from the hospital and in bed!!
Great news Sam. We all love our footie, but the little people are a million times more important.

Lol - quantify your smiley immediately sir

just a wittle tease. Levy won't sell this summer, when he can get another year outta bale and sell for the same figure (or more?) next season.

bale brings more than success on the pitch, he brings world recognition for our brand - at a time when we're looking to raise funds. DL can show the world he wants the club to progress rather than take a world record bid. He's gonna look like a don come the end of this saga.

GB can go next year, he's still a baby. And our potential qualification for the CL might just make him think twice about leaving. Silverware is a possibility with the additions we're (hopefully) making. Soldado appears to be DONE. An extra 15 goals would do this year. We're on the up, and everyone in here is in a fizz.

This transfer window has been decimated by a hope of early signings, with Paulinho's transfer making it seem a possibility; but we ALL knew deep down that we were gonna have tough negotiations, cos the chairman wants to save the pennies. And I love him all the more for the drama that ensues. COYS :)

I haven't voluntarily bought a paper in over 10 years, I refuse to put money into the coffers of rumour-mongering fuckwits who want to destroy my beloved club one player sale at a time.

Notice the difference in stance between AVB and Redknapp. AVB: "In my opinion, He's not for sale, I can't comment on any of the newspaper stories".

Compared to Redknapp's "I can understand why (Modric) he'd want to go there, they're a great club challenging for the title and pay fantastic wages"

Neither are lies, but one is stupid, because it winds you (the fans) up and gives the media ammo to stir the hornets nest.
