Have we even heard that there has been an official bid? We've heard from Marca alone, £60m, £75, £80, £81, £100m, £103.5m lol, and £120m. Also various combinations of €XXXm. I can't take this seriously, how many ITK's have said he's going? There are just way too many things pointing toward him staying at least one more year, the BT contract, FIFA contract, logo trademark, positive comments in the press, AVB saying he's been given assurances, Paulinho sying he was told he was staying, young family etc.

Completely disagree, Potl imo is the best ITK about and his record proves it. He usually posts early in the mornings and around noon, that's my reason why he hasn't showed up to either agree with or deny these past revelations on Soldado and Bale.

Just after everyone else just finished praising his status as a great ITK source, reeled off his itk 'successes' and took thefor Soldado as "deal done".
Salt ok, but are we really that deluded to pick and choose what we do and don't want to hear because we don't like it?
RM are definitely pulling out all the stops and I have been arguing that case for weeks, but even AVB seems to be caving......is there smoke without a fire?
Personally, I take a truck load of salt with every piece of ITK I hear, good or bad and I think most on here are the same, although there are certainly some on here who forget the salt if the ITK fits an agenda.
As for RM, I'm not sure they are pulling out all the stops, all we've heard from them all summer has taken the form of a propaganda war through their mouth piece Marca.
As for there being smoke without a fire, I think it's a given that RM want Bale, but as my oven showed last week, there certainly is smoke without fire.

POTL was absolutely the best itk around two years ago or so. Hasn't been on the same level for quite some time now though (since the B&Y debacle pretty much). Very rarely breaks news on anything of note these days and plays it cautious in the extreme (unless perhaps it relates to QPR).
I'm on coys btw, so I'm aware of his positing patterns.

I don't understand why would let Bale go. Sign Soldado and this season is our best chance in years to have a shot at the PL title. I'm not saying we're favourites or we should, just our best chance since the eighties probably.
I'm sure Levy and co know this and I'm sure Bale knows this. One more year at least and see where we are in May.
I know it's worrying when we don't hear Levy or Bale saying this, but do they have to?...as long as come 3rd Sept he is still a Spurs player that's all that counts.
Anyway thought Soldado was supposed to be announced after their game tonight...tick, tock, tick, tock...

I'm not inclined to believe the press per se but when it's all of them it worries me.
However, it is a quiet sporting weekend & these are the stories that will lead the Sunday sports sections; they are selling papers tomorrow & Sunday ones are more expensive than dailies.

Thing is the same journalists are on SSN, 5live or talk sport all saying how grounded Bale is and how he'll stay another year, some even stating it'll be good for him to stay another year...
It's purely about selling papers...

regarding Bale, I think if the majority of us are being truthful with ourselves we would all like him to stay but if we did receive bid in excess of £80 mil + we would all seriously consider it.
but as a fan I hope that IF we were to sell bale for £80 mil + we would receive a huge lump sum upfront and not via addons!! while also reinvesting at least 80% straight back into the team.
but regardless I do prey Bale stays!!
either way we are in a WIN WIN situation where we either KEEP BALE or get £80 + mil!!
