Chadli would be a solid way to drum up interest for Benteke (along with Dembele/Verts) and to address obvious areas for starting talent and depth.

Him, Jedvaj and now perhaps Rebic probably offer the most in terms of value in the medium to long term for us should we get put off by outrageous transfer fees.

I really believe Benteke is the right man for us! 19 premiership goals in his debut season for a piss poor Villa side last season was unreal! Belgium lately are producing some top talents and he slots in perfectly for our formation and along with our fellow Belgians!!!

Isnt Benteke an Arss fan? That and the 25mil it would cost both make me think we will not be signing him this summer. For that sort of cash I would want a more established strike such as Soldado.

Cheers for the update JJ - really hope we are not dragging our heels over the croatians, especially if over money as it will most likely cost us big time in the long run if we miss out.
Not sure if Benteke is the answer, really impressed in some games, but has that "one season" doubt over him. Would readily chance him at 7 million like Villa paid , but at 20+ it is a worry - what we need is this years Benteke, but then how likely is that ? ?
Think the Higuain talk will only serve to aggravate people here, unlikely he will come to us when gooners will pay more and can offer CL, lets not do that to ourselves.
