EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR’S Tottenham future is in the balance.

The striker, 28, increasingly believes he has no future under manager Andre Villas-Boas.
Adebayor has not started a Premier game this season — and has managed just 82 minutes on the pitch.

He was on the bench again yesterday for the clash with Chelsea despite Gareth Bale missing the game as his partner went into labour.

The former Gunner was signed for £5million just two months ago.
That followed a loan spell from Manchester City last season when he scored 17 goals in 32 Premier League games.

A Spurs source said: “Manu wants to play and he really hoped to be in with a chance of starting against Chelsea.
“Mentally he saw that game as a make or break for him at Spurs.
“It’s obvious now that AVB doesn’t fancy him and Manu thinks it’s better he left.”

Think it's probably bollocks however you can understand why he would be pissed off. Should of started yesterday and should be one of the first names on the team sheet but for whatever reason he isn't.

Is he fit?

Would you drop Defoe with the goals he is scoring?

Not easy decisions, Ade didn't have a pre-season, needs to take his chance. Simple.

Well this is the 2nd bit of dismissable rumour about Ade . I have always felt that Harry was good at keeping a temperamental player like Ade (with a long list of club problems in the past) happy and motivated . Not sure AvB has the touch needed with this obviously difficult player to manage .

Yes , dismissable rumours , but it was a tad strange Ade came on so late...and played less than his best . Might all be nothing ,I hope so . Its just that with Ade's history I reckon AvB might not tolerate any shenanigans and another in a long line of Ade/club disputes could result .

Ha ha ha ha quality journalism. Whenever I need a laugh I pick up a copy of the sun. Better than Frankie Boyle.

And yet Defoe scores again. It's a quandary

What a load of bollocks, I bet their source is Harry Redknapp. The silly thing is that due to us losing a game people on here will believe it

Ignore the Sun,

I'd drop him yes, or rotate at least. Defoe has scored in 4 of 11 games. Hardly prolific. we need a muh more physical presence up front to link with and get the best from Dempsey, Sigurdsson, Bale and Lennon IMHO.
Adebayor offers that.
I want to see us just go out with out strongest 11, which would include both Lloris and Adebayor. I cant believe we find ourselves in a position already where two of our big summer signings, Lloris and Ade, are both already questionning their longterm futures at the club. Those two on the bench at the expense of Friedel and Defoe? Hilarious really.

A Spurs source just told me Ade is happy and will fight for his place in the team.

Wow. Making stuff up and claiming it's from a Spurs source is easy. This time last year I had an interview in the Sun newsroom. Got offered the job, maybe I should have taken it!

Sorry RJ1882 I was meant to click the like icon, fat fingers and all that....

I'm still baffled at the decision if playing Brad over Lloris yesterday. This ain't a dig at Villas-Boas as I have man love for the guy and was over the flippin moon when we appointed him but yesterday's selection astounded me. It does seem now that Villas picked Lloris for the Villa game so that there would be no heat on him from the French media before the international games.

Why spend £8-12m on a genuine world class gk if your not gonna make him number 1 over a 41 year old. That money would have been better spent else where to secure 2 signatures we screwed up due to finances i.e. Willian and Moutinho....

Jiggins is afraid to put his own name on it and has asked Rob Beasley. I'd rather get my rumours from an Arsenal forum than bother with the Sun.

If AVB didn't want him why did we sign him? The deal wasn't completed till a few days before the window closed.
Shame the sun can't pick up on that fact which meant he had no proper pre season and so ended up with hamstring injury.
