That is literally the funniest thing I have ever heard. We obviously don't value our relationship much with Lille if that is the case, either that or their owner better have a good sense of humour.

We'll take your superstar, you can have Gio, cheers.

Anyone notice Hazard's age fluctuate in the article on the last page? Quality journalism!

Yes flown over by them, we knew all about it ;)

Knowing all about it is all well and good, until the director puts a cheque in front of him and tells him to name a number between 1 and 250000 a week of course

Admire your optimism JJ regarding Hazard and truly hope we pull it off, just to me if he is prepared to fly over to watch the game and be entertained by City etc for the evening it really doesnt look good even if we did know about it.

I am usually an optimist and would happily believe we are in the driving seat should we get champs league - just cannot see that the lure of a guaranteed starting place for us would out weigh the prospect of joining the prem champions and be on probably twice the salary!

Cheers for all your info tho mate - is greatly appreciated!

Don't really understand how a conspirational wink or the optimistic feeling that would suggest can be drawn from Man City flying Hazard to their game.

I guess the fact he informed us suggests that he has a good relationship with us and is unwilling to put us off by going behind our backs

One suspects, as said above, that that loyalty would surely be tested by a combination of City being the Premier League champions, in with a decent shout of a tilt at winning the Champions League and offering him a salary about three times what we could.

Especially when he sees his country's captain score the winning goal and then the place fucking erupt at the end.

At least the game was boring. Maybe he was seeing how good Nasri is as he's worried about playing time. Hopefully Nasri played well I don't really remember though.

If Hazard were to sign for City, and Spurs were to sign Adam Johnson as a result of this, I wonder which player would have the better season?
I'd make a big move for Johnson if he were available.

I thought Nasri was their best attacking player. I'm not a massive fan of his, certainly don't rate him in the same bracket City did when they bought him, but he looked very sharp on Monday night. Benefits of playing little football this season I suppose. Fresh legs now.
