Totally. This is going to be great. They either:
1) get totally rinsed for a player I think is good, but not great, and unlikely to really improve; or
2) fail

Either is fine

3) waste too much time chasing this, they forget to sign CBs that they need.

He’s really ended any chance of playing for Spurs by saying his dream is to play for the Arse. He really seems a bit stupid.

40m? That leaves them 5m of their war chest to play with and enough change left over to sign Gary Cahill

Ornstein saying it's going to get ugly. Hinted goons might start including players (not sure how many would happily drop to Palace though). Chambers maybe? Doubt Iwobi would go. Not even sure they'll give away the younger lads like Maitland Niles or Smith-Rowe.

Can't see Palace buckling short of £70m due to the 25% sell on to Utd. Hopefully Palace will stand firm and the goons waste all summer chasing him. They really need defensive options first anyway.

Or he knows that none of the cl teams are interested or willing to pay the price.
This will be it. If he had a straight up choice between Liverpool, City, Chelsea and Arsenal, there is no way in a million years he chooses Arsenal. He only wants to go there because they're the only team showing interest.

My theory is he's upset because his mate has been sold, and he's realised his own greed has shafted him out of getting a decent move.

Not impressed by Zaha at all, hearing it could get ugly, he chose to sign those 2 deals, his own fault for the situation he is in.

Is his brother his agent? If so a lot of the blame lies with him too. Very short-sighted with those deals. Took the £££ not considering the consequences.

I guess they assumed someone would go big for him but it was never going to be easy in this inflated market.

Said to my Palace supporting mate Zaha would kick off once AWB got his dream move. Probably why they've played the boyhood club card too.

Issue is AWB went for top dollar and top dollar for Zaha is £70m+

Yeah you can't see them squeezing much more out of a deal for AWB plus I don't think he had signed a new deal, he was on reportedly 10k a week. Zaha and his team chose to take the quick money instead of playing the long game that for example Eriksen and Alderweireld has, they sacrificed earnings in the short term so they can have more leverage on their next move, Zaha didn't do that, they gladly took Palaces money, can't fucking cry about it now that they now want to extract maximum value.

I'm a huge fan of Zaha and his footballing ability, one of the players who truly gets you off your seat but I wouldn't have wanted Spurs forking out 70 mill for him and Palace can happily wait, he won't be worth less than 50 in a years time.

Who could Palace possibly sign, even with 70m, to do for them what Zaha has? He personally, physically drags them several spots up the table every year. Sell Zaha and get his replacement wrong, and they are right in the thick of the relegation fight. Plus they just got 50m to play with. I just can’t see it happening.

If he really is Arsenal's top target this summer, more power to them. It's going to be an absolute clusterfuck. After getting 50m for a RB, Palace have absolutely no incentive to sell Zaha except for huge money that Arsenal doesn't have.

For Arsenal to get him, I'd imagine they'd have to include some decent players back, maybe young prospects like Reiss Nelson, Maitland-Niles, or Nkeith. Or they'll have to ship out some of their players that still have value to raise funds. This is the type of transfer that takes all summer. Clearly they are betting that by him begging for an exit that the price will go down, but why should Palace budge when they've already got 50m in for AWB and have Zaha under contract until 2023?

I like Zaha, but are Arsenal just going to totally neglect strengthening at CB and CM, where they actually need players? Hilarious recruitment strategy.

Zaha's gonna have to go on strike for Palace to give in and sell for a fee Arsenal could afford to pay.

Even then, I can see Palace refusing to sell and forcing Zaha to stay put for another year...

Palace go from a mid table side, to being in real danger of going down without Zaha IMO.

They could actually do worse than sign Gary Cahill actually. He’s better than what they currently have.

Got a feeling they’ll get Zaha somehow. Fine by me, he can’t play in defence.

I’m amazed Liverpool aren’t in for him actually. He’d be a good addition for them.
