Easily the best CB pairing in the world*.

He's not quite as good as Ledley though. Let's not get that carried away.

*Why do people always say "the best in Europe" when if that's the case, it's more than likely to be the best in the world? Because it sounds more realistic?

Yep

I agree with the above, I sometimes have to pinch myself to remind myself Woody is one of us, and he is an excellent player!

That's two ace players who seem to do the business for us, Woody and Sttttteeeeeeedddd

With any lucky his njury woes are behind him. Let's not forget he played plenty of games for Boro (ok it was a short spell) and Leeds, it's that gap between where it all went wrong for him whilst at Newcastle and Madrid. Perhaps he is overcoming an injury curse that began up there.

He has been outstanding since he came to Spurs. As long as he can stay away from injury we have a much needed World Class defender playing for us!!

woody's quality and it makes such a difference to dawson when he's playing alongside someone who knows exactly what he's doing, we're so solid with with one of dawson or king playing, yet we conceded 4 when they both were!

And he has only missed one game through injury.

Absolutely. Really annoyed me pre-Portsmouth game on Sky Sports, the panel having a dig at Spurs again (as per) but one of the digs about the defence was that King never plays and how Woodgate hasn't been ever-present either!? They also then suggested that Ramos wants to sell Keane, hence him keep taking him off.

Le Tissier and Thompson… do one! Poor old Paul Walsh, desperately trying to fight our corner, and being out-numbered

Anyway, well done Woody

Where have you been then? MIA. He's got a song and was belted out against Chelscum.

Top class player and since he's joined, has had more Motm performances than anybody else, including today.

I have to hold my hands up here. I was absolutely opposed to us signing Woody - to be honest, I thought the only reason for buying him was to keep Ledley company in the treatment room.

How wrong can you be. Not only has he stayed fit, but his work on the ground and in the air, his anticipation and positioning is quite awesome.

I was totally wrong.

And Woody is just brilliant.

I don't mind 2 great defenders sharing a song as they both deserve it. We also sing "There's only one....." and sing it to Aaron Lennon and Michael Dawson - although I haven't heard us singing that to Dawson for ages! Wonder why?????
