Just want to say how great of a signing this guy has been. He's like a rock at the back, never plays around with the ball just gets the job done.

If we can get ledders playing all the time with woody then my god teams will find it hard to score.. chimbonda has his moments and hutton has been good too.

Cant wait for the next game. COYS

Woodgate is quality. He's good in the air, comfortable with the ball at his feat, and excellent in the tackle. Yiddo.

He's unbelievably good. I knew he was good, but he has really surprised me.

And he has only missed one game through injury. Let's hope he continues to be fit and well.

He reads the game well too, plus I just love the way he rises above players and chests the ball away.

Long may he continue doing so.

Woodgate is the buy of the season.
At £7million, he has proved a bargin.

He rightfully deserves his England recall following his recent performances.
He is a general at the back.
Keep up the good work Woody.

Absolutely a great signing is Woodgate. If he can continue with the level of fitness his showing at the moment it bodes well for the future.

Just wish King can stay fit.

Woodgate is a Rolls Royce of a CB (copyright Bobby Robson).

But we should remember the only reason we got him so cheaply was because of his injury record. Hopefully, his head is on his football these days, and our fitness coaches can keep him as fit as possible. Because if he plays 50 games a season for us, then he's a £20 million CB.

Hopefully he'll play at least 25 of those games alongside our other Rolls Royce of a CB, King Ledley.

Great signing, was worried about his injury record at first, but lookes to be over the annoying niggles. Maybe ramos's diet plan is working....

Would like to see us go back to Boro and buy David Wheater. Southgate rates him better then Woody.

I've always thought Woody was class and in his early days at Leeds thought he was better than Rio but ufortunately injuries got in his way then (fortunate for us now though!)

One thing though, he really should be given the no. 6 shirt next season (sorry TT if you're still here) as no. 39 is no number for a centre back of his class!

Ledders should have no. 5 too but seems to have proven that he will always wear no. 26. Soz to geek out then but do like things to be nice and tidy!

Everyone knows he's good. No one had the balls to gamble 7mil due to his injury record. We did, and are reaping the benefits for now. Fingers crossed.

Absolutely top player. Knew he was good, but didn't realise he was that good.

Fucking fair play to Levy for sanctioning it too. A risk that has very much paid off.

Was worried we were buying another crocked player, but how he has proved me wrong. A Leeds mate also tried to worry me about Woody's off-the-field shennanigans, but he obviously did a lot of growing up in Madrid.

Great buy. The ball seems to be attracted to his head at times. No nonsense approach is just what we needed, as well as an experienced player to help keep Daws steady during Led's absences.

I'm putting myself on the line here but I would say he's just as good as Ledley at the moment. The best CB pairing in Europe?

I have thought that same blasphemy at times...:shifty:...

..but then I see Leds instantly controlling and juggling the ball over a chel$ki player the other night before hitting a great through ball, and I realise how wrong I am. Never under-estimate how good a 100% Leds is!

Easily the best CB pairing in the world*.

He's not quite as good as Ledley though. Let's not get that carried away.

*Why do people always say "the best in Europe" when if that's the case, it's more than likely to be the best in the world? Because it sounds more realistic?
