Woodgate is great. I think our biggest weakness would be any striker with pace, assuming King isn't in the squad. Dawson and Woodgate aren't the quickest. Woodgate's vision and anticipation seem to make up for his lack of athletic quickness though.

Woodgate has pace, don't you worry about that.

He's deceptively quick, but I wouldn't say he's lightening. :)
Anyway, he's obviously a top, top defender, and I'm very pleased with his contributions thus far. I have to admit, I was one of 'those' who was a little apprehensive about him signing for us. Only because of his injury record, though. Hopefully he's over his problems because right now, he looks like a fucking snip of a signing at £7m.

Well done our new management team on taking a big gamble on him.

He's kinda slow and his acceleration takes a while to kick in but he reads the game very well and plays with his brain. He's top class.

Woodgate has been superb. any young player we have should watch how king and woodgate train and play. when was the last time we saw king and woodgate under pressure and making mistakes, hardly ever

Well said guys.

It's nice not to have to change my shorts every time the opposing team gets a corner these days..

If we had players of Woodgates class in midfield we would not be knocking around halfway down the league..

Signing of the season if you ask me. Has been imperious, classy and fan-bloody-tastic every time i have seen him. In fact i can't recall him having had a bad game for us as of ywet

i was impressed with Woodgates application to returning at Madrid and really felt for him when he made his long awaited debut there. Didnt really see much of him at boro but have been really impressed since he has been at Spurs.
Superb signing.

The 2 injuries he has had so far haven't been related to any muscle injury which is good.
People started to call Bale injury prone when he kept getting his foot kicked in by opposing players, which is obviously nonsense.
Agree with whats been said though, he is a top class player, but we will just have to keep hoping he stays fit.
Knowing our luck the next team news will say Woodgate out with a hamstring injury...

Very nearly as good as King and that is as good as it gets. Rio Ferdinand is the only centre half in their class.
