I get you. And the Dembele injury fked the game plan. But I don't get this they cant play two games a week thing. Son was playing in bursts and could manage his own stamina. Doherty had the run of that flank after the decision.
I don't think it was just the 2 games a week but this schedule with 4 games in 8 or 9 days is crazy. Poch needed to rest guys.

Good now give him the harsh Aurier treatment were he gets the odd milk cup game
I really don't rate Trippier, never have

Via Quantum Leap?

Probably preferable for him rather than Poch shoving Trip's head down the bog.

Very disappointed with Toby tonight, 2nd half we needed him to show his experiance and leadership and he showed neither.

Eriksen needs a rocket put up his backside, the moment he came on we effectively went down to ten men. I know he’s just coming back from injury, but he should at least show some energy.

I'd put all that on Trippier.
:bored:

Why did Poch put Skipp on the bench then?

Erisken was a disgrace when he came on.

Weird we’ve had best ever start and sit 4th yet Eriksen has offered nothing this season and has yet to start doing so, Dele has been injured most of it, Kane has looked very tired and Son due to exerts hasn’t really started his season either. That’s arguably our starting front 4, shows how useful the depth of Lamela and Lucas has been.

We needed that same quality of depth for CM/DM too as with Wanyama pretty much completely crocked we look terrifying light centrally going into some big and very, very tough games this month.

Very worried about Eriksen , he seems disinterested since the first game of this season. Maybe his head has turned

Does anyone else think that those two penalties were very very soft?

I think we should sell trippier while his stock is still high from the WC
I said the same last january when Leicester was sniffing around but DL reportedly wanted 30M and they balked. Then they went out and got better for 19M. Would have been win-win-win as he could have gotten a payday (before people realized his limitations), they got better than Simpson, and we could have gotten a better option like Wan-Bissaka before he gets too expensive but that would take succession planning from up top instead of opportunistic buying which is not our MO. If we did recruiting like that we would have a promising left CB to understudy Jan and proper MF options.

Given our performances so far this season it is astonishing we are so few points off of the top.
Hopefully we start playing with some fluidity up top and solidity at the back and our performances improve.

Just seen the second penalty, ooh, they got the penalty because their player was off balance so when they came together he went down, had they both been upright it wouldn't have budged him, I get the penalty decision but it looked a bit soft.
Five goals, we should be top billing on MoTD then shouldn't we.

Far better for Foyth to learn a few lessons today and still bring home three points than have it cost us dearly in a top match. I just hope Trippier really did get the bollocking he deserved ..and will also benefit from this experience ( but I doubt it).
