he won the ball countless times and his distribution was good too

He played well today and seemed much more restrained in his tackling as he did against Everton.
Perhaps the pressure of being under threat of a two game suspension when we can least afford it is in fact having a beneficial effect on his game.
He is much more measured in his tackling, no late lunges, more presenting a barrier in middle.
It certainly hasn't done his game any harm.
But with the uncertainties of ref. decisions he can't last the rest of the season without getting another yellow. Can he?

good points JG - the impending ban doesn't seem to be harming his game

and it's nice to go thru games without waiting for the inevitable booking that often leads to an early sub for fear of a red

almost for sure he'll be booked by the end of Mach, but the longer we have him in this crisis the better for us

if we can keep till up to the fulham replay I'd settle for that

after that we'll have cup tied players available for the lge and hopefully at least one injured mid returning, plus time for livermore and townsend to settle in, and WP'll available for the semi-final (i believe, and if we beat fulham etc)

anyway well done wilson- fantastic performance yesterday - a modern Mackay on that showing - and well done spurs - a tremendous result in real adversity

I can't imagine him not getting booked against the lumberjacks of Blackburn and Stoke so in a way I wish he'd have got booked against Fulham. For the League games we have some sort of cover for him in Kaboul but if he's suspended for the Fulham replay we're going to have a very odd looking side unless King recovers and even then he'll have to play in midfield.
