Has any team news come out of wigan yet to if he is in the squad today?

I expect he would be. As you could see from his performance on Wednesday, his heart is clearly still in it at Wigan, but at the end of the day, you have to move up to forward your career. Dunno why he's being linked with us, then! :lol:

I'm hoping he is not because that could be an indication that a deal is close for one of the clubs and everything still points to that club being us. We will see no doubt in the next hour or so

I am stunned and bewildered to see that Wilson Palacios may not be coming to us after all. As I posted on here yesterday, I was very happy when Bruce said that the deal was ''Virtually Done''. I said that he will be a great asset for the team and was one that was needed for us to move forward.

Of course, it would'nt be the end of the world !but, it will be a missed opportunity and I'll be gutted. IMHO I'd rather much more he'd sign for us than Arshavin (Appologies Fazza) if I'd the luxury to choose. Preferably I'd have them both Of course !

Still, I am still hoping Palacios will be signed for us soon.

Anyone who believes we dont need this guy has zero football knowledge as far as im concerned..... He is exactly the type of player we need, has energy, tenacity, wins headers, tackles basically does the lot! and we know he does it in the prem.
If anybody watched him last season and especially last 5 games for them this season would see he has been immense! Watched him against united on wednesday and they couldnt get near him, carrick was petrified of him ronaldo and tevez were muscled out of it numerous times by him also....

Well im sure he said something like this 'there is one certain player we are looking at and if he doesnt come, then we will not look to sign anyone else'.. But yeah ferguson is certainly not a trustworthy person

GrahamRoberts doesn't have a good track record, a lot of WUM-ing iirc.

But if ManUre come in for him there's nothing we can really do, he would never choose us over them. City I'm not as sure about, he may prefer to come to us over them if they don't think he's worth spunking 200k a week on.

To be fair, I think the Berbatov signing was inevitable. This season, they're really not linked that strongly with anyone on a consistant basis. I'm not saying I believe him, I'm just saying with the squad they have, and with their recent performances, I wouldn't be suprised if SAF's words were, for once, true.
