We've been left with no choice after Liverpool faxed through (no internet in the north west) their intention to sue us for stealing Willian from them.
god knows unless Chelsea did something extremely underhand or Willian had signed some contracts already and Chelsea made him renege on the few documents he had signed.
Well, you kind of summed it up for me in that last bit..
I like him and all, he's a quick footed dribbler and entertaining to watch, AVB wants him, and there end my reasons for wanting him.
However I believe there are a ton of other players out there who are just as effective, but maybe not as flashy, because when it comes to the creative AM role, there's simply too many overpriced players to choose from..

Saying that you're verified by Rob is meaningless, and I'm sure he doesn't really want dozens of messages asking him for confirmation!

In a perverse sort of way I'm almost glad something like this has happened. After all, Willian cant really have been on the radar at the beginning of the window when plans were being made, because it's only recently that his club have taken the actions they have. I really do believe that Chelsea's signing of him, assuming it happens is some sort of tactical kneejerk. It means they fear us. Good. If we'd been on the verge of signing him as a non-challenger I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have been interested. (Is it too Machiaevellian to think that this might all be part of some obscure Levy/Lewis plan? After all everything that ever happens lately seems to come completely out of left field)
As for Mourinho, I'm one of those people who have detested him ever since his Porto team absolutely kicked lumps out of Celtic in that final back in 2003. Their sheer violence, combined with the utter cynicism with which they approached that game appalled me, and I was shocked that people ever wanted him here. We saw it again on Wednesday when the Pensioners played Lambert's Villa. My God, if we ever have that level of cynicism and foul play ingrained into our club then it will have ceased to be THFC. Bad apples I can handle but not when that sort of shit becomes etched into your DNA. I'm so glad he's back with the Pensioners. They deserve that sort of bollocks, and the hatred he will draw from the terraces might even help us fly low and out of sight a little bit more this season, and we could do with that.
