Seems a lot to me but then "The transfer would take Spurs' spending this summer towards the £90m mark with Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli, Etienne Capoue and Paulinho having already arrived."
90mil is just Bale money. We supposedly have 50m of our own so overall it's possible we could get both. Think we're all being a bit greedy still suggesting willian, lamela and/or eriksen. I'd be delighted with just one but obviously hoping for more (not expecting it).

I think there's a lot of reasons why we make more sense for Willian than Liverpool and it's not because "we're awesome, they're shit." This is a crucial year for Willian. He's 25 and it might be his last chance to make an impression for Brazil in a World Cup year. Granted, he might have a shot when he's 29, but I wouldn't rule out another World Class Brazilian coming through by then.
So, Willian could go to Liverpool with Brendan Rodgers who as far as I know doesn't speak Portuguese. He could play with Coutinho and Lucas who really aren't in the fold for Brazil. And he would only get to play in the EPL, F.A. Cup and C.O.C.
On the other hand, Willian could come here and play with AVB who speaks Portuguese, play with Paulinho and Sandro who Scolari has obviously shown faith in (Paulinho) and has mentioned that he will be keeping an eye on (Sandro) and also have the opportunity to still play in a European Competition.

Would not worry about the picture being from 2011, media often use old pictures to boost their claims. I guess the important thing is he is in London, not dipper land
I think that if we are going in for Willian it means that the Lamela deal is not happening. I believe that Lamela was our number one target but it has been too difficult so Levy has decided that we aren't going to mess about any more and is going for willian in good time before Liverpool or even man utd come in. I sadly think it means bale will go too. I would love to be wrong on this one though because with the addition of willian I think we could challenge.

He does his hair like Ronaldo, he tries to take free kicks like Ronaldo, he wants to go and touch Ronaldo.
Unfortunately he doesn't have a slightly weird crush on any of the players we've brought in.
So be it. I think we'd all be satisfied with the replacements if we could get Willian and Lamela. Although I still can't believe it could possibly all work out that way.

Yeah, if he just wants to be another Galactico and be shifted out once a new flavour of the month comes in, then so be it.
With the players we've purchased and rumoured to completing this summer, feel that if he gave us 1 more season, our performances on the pitch and the potential trophies we could win, would change his mind in my opinion.

Interestingly I think we would of heard ITK about any Bale deal being agreed. With it all gone quiet and lack of confidence in Madrid meeting our demands, makes me believe all this spending isn't dependent on Bale.
If it was, would Levy run the risk of putting himself in that situation where he NEEDED to sell Bale which gives Madrid the power.
There's no guarantees (from what we know) Bale's valuation will be met, I doubt Levy would of spent 'Bale' money like crazy with the knwedge he might have to accept 20-30 million below his asking price and in a shitty price structure.
