So what your saying is the hercs breezer etc are liars ?
Not the smartest comment really.

So what you're saying is, both Chelsea and us have had bids accepted by Palace but he is either staying or going to Chelsea, you believe we agreed a fee but didnt offer him a package worth leaving Palace for? Certainly not saying they are lairs, I believe they pass on what they are told in good faith.

I can believe we spoke with them and formally agreed and fee but no official bid was made and then Levy went back in trying to move the goalposts...... we all got told the deal is there if we want it and if levy goes along with what parish wanted

We can only assume Palace demanded a set amount upfront that we were unwilling/unable to pay - Chelsea have presumably stumped up the cash and thats that. Let's hope there is still a chance of Martial/Toby deal happening.

Why is everyone talking about Chelsea?

There are no media links of him going there. Their own fanbase aren't talking about him and Gards even said that the 1 bid (not 2) was rejected.

If he's not coming here then he's likely to just be staying at Palace.

Either way there's far too much overreacting going on in this thread. I'd suggest getting a grip.

I think we have to accept this one is dead. I really want Martial, but think we will struggle there too.
Yep - this thread is going nowhere and would be dead if not for the fact that we have precious few tangible rumours going on elsewhere.

It's simple.

Zaha would go to Spurs.
He has more than likely, loosely agreed terms.
We have a vague idea from the agent as to what Palace would be looking for.
Levy has gone in lower, because let's be honest, who goes in at the requested price first off?
It was rejected.
We've put it off for now (Dead).
Might revisit it if we feel it's worth it.

Hopefully it is something like if we can get Martial we will go for Grealish. On the other hand we go for a CM that is not HG we go for Zaha.

I'm sceptical of that.

I'm pretty sure that's his wages and huge signing on fee combined. Makes the cost of the deal £35m over 4 years which sounds about right. It's the equivalent of £100k a week and a £15m fee which makes sense for Palace.

There's only a few days left and I don't think that Parish will sell now. Why would he want disruption at this stage? The players are preparing for the new season and Zaha is an integral part of their side. No point in Levy lowballing - we've been there before and Parish made it quite clear where we can go.

That sounds like having a plan. So I wouldn't count on it.

Palace and Zaha told us to do one due to messing them both around in the past, and are now speaking to Chelsea.

Fixed.

I do prefer your version however.

Well IMO, this could be why they've suddenly starting making moves. Only in the last day or so have they been suddenly getting lots of links to players and are making signings. The suggestion from ITK was that Parish would need a week to get some deals done and it seems to me that's exactly what's happening now.

Until yesterday they'd sign a GK on a free, that's it. Now they've added Kouyate, talk of Max Meyer (free but BIG wages) amongst others that will cost money.

Pushing the boat out with this plan.....Maybe the talk of Rose wanting out and United being long term admirers of him could mean a double swap.... Toby Rose, Martial, Shaw, seems very weird that the Zaha stuff would just stop like that with a week to go

Perhaps Levy is/was trying to reach an agreement with a United regarding Zaha’s sell on fee... and would they consider dropping their 25% if we sell Toby at a lower ‘undisclosed’ price?

Every club will have back up options should the worse happen. I mean look at us when we sold Berbatov.

Chavs really damn irritating with the hi-jacking, first Arnesen, then Willian then Barkley and now Zaha

Can't they get their own scouts????
They weren't exactly unearthed gems were they?

There is a lot of misinformation deliberately leaked at this time. Newspapers and other media sources are used as tools to exert pressure on other clubs/players. Spurs are no different and, Levy, mindful of leaks via agents/staff will go further and use them to send messages. For this reason, it is important to recognise that while some people will have access to those close to the club/ a deal, they may be used as pawns in a wider game and the information they share is not a true reflection of the situation.
