Yea, the race is in our hands as much as it is the others in my opinion. We just need to focus on ourselves, not slip up against the smaller teams, and try and get summin from the 4 big games we have remaining (City, Chelsea, United and Arsenal).

The return of Lennon and Huddlestone may give us the extra boost we need to push on come the end of the season. COYS.

Just wondering where Liverpool and especially Villa are gonna fit these final games into? Villa still have 12 to play in the league plus at least one more cup game. City WILL go belly up....its just inevitable!

But can we take advantage? I think we might just do it....and anyways CL footy will be a bonus to go along side the F.A cup win in May!

I completely forgot they were playing tonight, what a wonderful surprise for me when I logged on. It seems all 4 teams in the hunt are desperate to hand it to the other 3, I honestly think any of us 4 could scrape it now - although we do have that bitch of a run in which will probably include City away when rescheduled. That'll be our test, can we keep our nerve and pick up points from the top teams.

Bring on Blackburn!

Just got back from the game. Liverpool were unlucky not to draw, but Wigan worked really hard. Wigan have got some very promising young players like McCarthy, Diame and N'Zogbia.

I saw about 50 minuts of the game and Diame looked the bollox. Could be a good Palacios backup?

still think shity will get it

wolves did the double over us

shity did the double over chavski

but it's still very much wide open, can you imagine winning the FA Cup and finishing top 4. Harry's brought us a long way

Yes. Bizarre. Wigan also beat Chelsea. Hopefully, we'll do the double over City, as usual.

I've watched him for over three years and said when he joined Wigan, after they sold Cattermole, that they had got the best of the deal. He initially struggled, but then showed form and was unfortunate with his injury. Since coming back he has grown in stature. He's built for this league in every way.
Can't see many better options as a back up/alternative for Palacios than him.
Would snap up N'Zogbia too. In any other team he would be in contention for player of the season.

great result for us tonight without even kicking a ball
i honestly would want any team other than liverpool to finish 4th if we was not able to ... i have disliked them and there plastic cockney fans ever since the boring 80s when they won everything playing negative football

I agree. Diame has looked increasingly class, and under Martinez N'Zogbia's looked consistently good—not just potential (that was obvious at Newcastle four years ago).

How bad were Liverpool tho!!!

This is the worst Liverpool I have seen in years, I agree i would rather City or Villa finish 4th if we can't get there.

They got into the Champions League via the back door last time they finished fifth so don't want them to sneak in again now.

I really, really don't want City to finish in the top 4, it will only legitimise their artificial money injected status, and they could then attract anyone with the lure of the CL. It would be bad for us and bad for the game.

I would have no problem Villa getting there, because they would have done it properly and deserve the chance of a CL campaign. I really don't have anything against Villa at all, and see them as quite similar to us.

As for Liverpool, I don't really like them but I can tolerate them finishing 4th mainly because I'm used to it.

I would put City as favourites now, unfortunately, and us probably 2nd - but if we don't beat Blackburn, it all changes again - it's excruciatingly even.

N'Zogbia has scored a few goals too. That would ge a great luxury to add to our midfield!

Agree with this. It was like Jack buying Bastard Rovers the Premiership and Roman trying to buy chavski a CL title.

It has to be us and if not, Villa or the Scouse

He has many positives, with one being his versatility. On top of that Martinez has installed a strong work ethic in him and you will always see him track back and support his full back.
