Jermaine Jenas is back in the frame for Saturday's trip to Blackburn Rovers.

Illness kept the midfielder out of last weekend's match against Newcastle at the Lane but he's available alongside defender Younes Kaboul, back in training after a dead leg.
"Both are fit to play and unless something happens, they will be with us this weekend," reported Head Coach Juande Ramos.
Long-term injuries Gareth Bale (foot) and Benoit Assou-Ekotto (knee) are out for the season.

we'll soon see who's our no. 1 mid Zoko/Hudd fans

The sad fact is, none of them are currently good enough for a top 4 assault. Whether a top class partner playing alongside one of them would make a difference remains to be seen. If one or any of them is going to be first choice next season they are going to have to improve.

I suspect he'll be in the starting 11 if he is fully fit...I'm not sure that Juande ever lost faith in JJ, particularly in light of the marked improvement Jenas has shown under his guidance.

Good to see Jenas back, hope he starts.

Doesn't control the midfeild like we want him to, but is the best we have at it just now.

That's roughly my view too Blotto - to me JR thought JJ was our best mid (as did Jol during this season and last) -

JJ got injured plus a bit tired/dpwn/out of form around about the time of the PSV games - now he's back and as I've predicted many time I don't think it'll be Hudd/Zoko keeping him out of the first team, this season or next (except for normal rotation)

i think Steed looks like the most tired of our players at the moment, i'd rather have Gilberto left mid, maybe Taarabt, or give young Rose a go.

thanks to all the JJ supporters :) I wouldn't mind Kaboul starting too if fit enough - I'm afraid I'm giving up on Daws as anything but a back up player

to me keeper & CB are priority signings in the summer

I'm pretty sure a lot of us, including senor Ramos, is thinking the same thing.

I agree with this. I think Steed's exhausted however I think Taarabt would get kicked off the field against that lot so maybe it's Gilberto. Not sure Ramos thinks he's ready though.

Also like the idea of a JJ, TT combo against Blackburn. Could be quite a bruiser and TT would get stuck in an 'mix it up a bit'.

What's this? Jenas has been missing. I hadn't noticed!
