I think it's one of the big answerable questions: Did Poch make Kane or did Kane make Poch? Must be one of the greatest serendipitous comings together in football history. I don't think Poch would have been so successful here without Kane and I don't think Kane would have been so successful under a different manager or if he had gone elsewhere.

I voted "other" for Dier (learned new position and became starter) and Mason (earned his spot). I did not pick Dembele because it just seems to be fitness now allowing him to play every game - I always liked him and thought he was a gifted player prior to Poch.

So in a way, the fitness regime under Poch has benefited all!! ;)(y)

Just to clarify for those who think Dier or Alli should be in the poll, my OP was more about the players who, pre Pochettino, had either underperformed or divided opinion.

It's difficult to judge the youth players as well as there's no way of knowing how much is natural progression. Looking purely at first team players I'd go for Dembele as he's gone from someone who didn't really seem to do much to being an essential part of the side. His ball retention is absolutely incredible these days - can't think if a better player in the league in that aspect.

If we're looking at the development of youth players as well then it has to be Harry Kane. He's gone from squad player who started a few games under Sherwood to being one of the top strikers in the league. If you gave most Spurs fans a choice between Kane and Aguero I bet Harry would probably be the popular choice these days.

well just look at the posts directly after mine. so I'd say a fair few. I play this game with my 2 year old, I didnt think it would work with teenagers too lol

Most people coming on this thread would have made up their minds about who to vote for as soon as they saw the thread title.

I think each player has improved in different ways but mostly with Dembele it was his fitness and level of consistency. We all knew he had it, just didn't show it often enough. Much like Vertonghen who looked disinterested until Toby was brought it. Rose has become one of the best left backs in the country under Poch. Dier has learned a new (and vital to the team) position which at such a young age is remarkable. Walker's defebding has improved dramatically. Lamela had the talent, think he just needed an arm round the shoulder and a vote of confidence which is clear to see. Kane is a difficult case, as he scored several times at the rnd of Sherwood's season. Regardless of opposition still scored in Europa League and IMO would have done so under any manager until forced to start in the league with Ade and Soldado not performing.

In conclusion, my vote would go to Rose. Rarely lets a cross in these days. Vital to our attacks down the left and has the lace and fitness to get back and defend well.
