Rodney Marsh, the original plonker still trying desperately to remain relevant because not even sky and Talk Shit will employ him

See, there are three kinds of people: dicks, pussies and assholes. Pussies think everyone can get along and dicks just want to fuck all the time without thinking it through. But then you got your assholes. And all the assholes want is to shit all over everything. So pussies may get mad at dicks once in a while because, pussies get fucked by dicks. But dicks also fuck assholes! And if they didn't fuck the assholes, you know what you'd get? You'd get your dick and your pussy all covered in shit!

I read this earlier, Romney Marsh was a shit player and a shit pundit who was sacked by Sky and spent most of his latter years bowing and scraping to George Best. He was bought by City to help win the old first division title and lost..... legends.

From what I have read the Tranmere fans didn't think we were classless, just the opposite.

To be fair he was a pretty decent player from what I remember of his QPR days

Dick since he became a pundit though

One of the most skillful players of his day, but was always lacking in application and discipline.

I heard Barry Glendenning say on the Guardian podcast the usual "squad depth" reason for us not challenging, it is lazy journalism at best. He is not the first to bring out this cliche.

If we had a full team out every time we wouldn't be playing Winks, Sissoko, Foyth and perhaps even Davies and Davinson so much. Our squad depth is strong. Lamela and Moura (write offs in some peoples eyes) carried us through the start of the season. Our centre back partnerships have never been too consistent, thank god for Toby, whoever signs him will get one hell of a centre back. On top of this we have to deal with a loss of form, probably due to fatigue, for the likes of Eriksen and Kane (earlier in the season).

We have had so many injuries and fatigued players it's become even more of a bore than usual from the so called experts. We are still marked as plucky undedrdogs or legends and it beggers belief. We have been there abouts for a few years now and on top of that we turned round a a group in the CL that was labelled as impossible with an injury ravaged squad.

We are still in all competitions, we are now, finally, getting players back and still they discount us.

I do think Liverpool and City are excellent teams but the latter have had a few injuries to key positions and sit only two points above us, the former are yet to really suffer.

I am not a pundit but as it stands and ignoring the hype machine that has followed City and Liverpool I think we are in with a chance. I cannot predict how the season will develop but with the new ground looming and a return of Verts and Dembele we should be at least considered.

However we have to face the bore of the pundits, if we do continue to keep pace then we will get the usual "bottle" and "squad depth" comments when we don't win it. If we do win it, at least these idiots will have to come up with some new bland cliches.

When was the last time we had our near to full strength XI out and when was the last time we had no injuries of any sort?
I think Liverpool have been blessed with the injuries this season so far and given the miss givings in their squad, the only sort of injuries that they have had to endure is in the positions that they have the most cover.
