I love the "Cardiff, Swansea and generally Wales are shitholes" lines. Walthamstow is a delight to behold and I'm sure when most fans (both away fans and spurs) arrive at seven sisters their jaws drop at the wonder of the beauty that is before them
Don't even think about saying anything against Walthamstow...or else! Was going to agree with Seven Sisters and most of Tottenham but just remembered my darling wife hails from there so zip it!

You wouldn't compare two entire cities to one small part of one city though. It's like saying "Cardiff and Swansea are shit holes, but cardiff and swansea fans must also think think that moss side is a shit hole". Moss side is a shit part of Manchester, but Manchester doesn't stop there. Swansea is a shit hole everywhere.

I see what you're saying. Doesn't change the fact that the area of London THFC is from is a fucking shit hole. End of. If Manchester had a dozen football sides like London does and 1 of them was based in miss side we'd be saying what a shit hole that is as well.

They do. It's called Burnley.

People need to lay off Walthamstow, some of us were born there you know ;)

And anyway, most parts of Chingford are gorgeous, as well as much of the surrounding area. Not claims that swansea can make.

I was bred in walthamstow as well. It will always have a place in my heart.

Out of interest what parts of Swansea have you been to? I lived there for a few years and apart from the local's accent I loved it. Some parts are rough and generally unpleasant (Townhill, Bonymaen etc) but then all cities have shitty estates that they could do without. On the other hand areas like Mumbles and the Gower are as nice as anywhere in the country - the latter being designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Same with Cardiff, as much as I despise the football team and some of their fans with an all consuming passion the city is actually pretty good.

To say a whole city is a shithole is a bit silly really. There's good and bad everywhere.

And before anyone says it none of the above applies to Newport. Proper shithole! :ninja:

Amen. As above, parts of e4 are really nice. The village in walthamstow is considered very desireable these days. White Hart Lane sadly, is in a moody part of town. But that's what I love about the ground, its keeping it real. In comparison to the Emirates which just feels false.

Hmmm ... Yet another tough fixture against a good Spud side ... I think we may win this 1-0 ... Fingers crossed ...

Ffs forgot about the international fixtures. Hope Oscar doesn't play.

I'm actually relieved to play these now that AVB isn't there.
I couldn't bare to see one of his stupid over the top celebrations if he ever beat us.

Torres gave Tottenham a real nightmare at White Hart Lane and I think he'll do the same here. Schurrle must start this game in place of Oscar, if he's on the bench I'll bust a nut.
Have a good feeling about this one, just mark Adebayor out of the game and Tottenham are largely toothless. Not sure we'll keep a clean sheet but we'll take the three points from this.

One thing I do know is I want Schurrle to start, I really hope he does not get dropped after getting the hat trick. Not sure that Spurs will give us that much space to exploit.
Will be interesting seeing their attitudes to the game. Is a point a good result for them? (sure as heck is not for us) or do they need 3 to keep their faint CL hopes alive?

Have been critical of some in the past labeling games " must win" , Arsenal Away springs to mind where I thought a draw was a good result .
However I'm going to have a stab here and say that this game is moving into "must win" territory . We're out front in the league with a very good home record and I thought we were robbed 2 points at 3 point lane late last year . In fear of stating the obvious , in the interest of the title race it's really important that we take all our home points for the remainder of the season .
Trusting Jose to do the business here and keep the pressure on City and Liverpool . 9 points clear of City with 2 months left would be fantastic despite them having 3 in hand .

We will beat the Spuds next week. Adebayor might be in form but theres a difference between playing against Dnipro and Cardiff and John Terry and Gary Cahill. I watched Spurs v Norwich last week on Sky and they were woeful. Hazard will have a field day against Kyle Walker who is over zealous and tries to win the ball too early (playing into Eden's hands . If I'm wrong ill go onto the Spuds forum and congratulate them

Spurs will be well up for it, hope our fans really lift the Bridge and push the lads on.
10 cup finals left guys, if we can get at least 10 points from the next 12 then think we are in a good position for the end run in

Spurs are a strong side and have very strong defensive midfielders when they setup that way. The likes of Paulinho, Dembele and Sandro are certainly not to be underestimated just to start with.

Spurs are basically in a must win situation for their top 4 hopes in my opinion. They are desperate, and that makes them rather more dangerous than our first meeting this season.
Can see them making it hard for us again as it was last year at the Bridge.

To be fair, it's hard to find fault with that.....dare I say that it sounds like a sensible chavski fan!?

That's the best of the lot there. He knows full well if we set up with a three in midfield, like the three he mentions and who should start, that we'll give them a game.

Impressed with that comment from a Chav to be fair lol
