Cant stand them and hate the sound of their smarmy voices. I really don't see many day to day.

Tried but just fell short of getting a ticket for the game so am going to Eastbourne for the weekend with some 'mates'. 2 of them are friggin' gooners and we're going to the pub. Could be horrible tbh. Not feeling confident. I'd rather have got a ticket and gone and lost then go to the pub with those 2 and lose. Ruin my weekend. They won't give it large, but just smirk when I glance their way.

I try but I just cannot watch this game in the pub, or Chelsea or West ham

Add Liverpool and United to that list. They feel it’s ok to celebrate a goal in a London pub, yet you’d get killed if you did that in Liverpool or Manchester. Especially when you rarely hear a scouse or Manc accent…

I've said it before, one of my closest friends is a season ticket holder at the Emirates. We can sit and talk football all day, there is a bit of banter, but usually a fair conversion.

These people on arse mania are not reflective of proper fans.
I've got a close mate thats die hard scum, the sort of mate you can chat to for hours when it's not football related, I even made a pact with him that we'll no longer talk football to avoid arguing, i'm a very rational spurs fan, i'll even give praise when it's due even if it's Arsenal.. The reason however I decided to no longer talk to him about football was after the Son/Gomes controversy.. Group of about 5 of us talking about it/Son, everyone but him agreed it was a complete accident, I said Son isn't that kind of player, you could tell from his reaction he was distraught, everyone else agreed but he piped up.. "Nah Son's always been a dirty player" I was like what?? Couple more back and forths and he says "I don't watch any other games really only Arsenal games"

I just stopped the debate right there, the amount of fans that have these very extreme views on other teams/players when they don't even watch any other football is scary.

On the other hand got another Arsenal supporting mate that actually watches football and is very reasonable and could talk to him for days about footie.

I think when you get the weirdo rival fans, my experience is they only watch their own team, when they watch alot of football in general they're much more reasonable.

When Rodgers signed for Liverpool some of them on RAWK had never heard of him, quite incredible really.

Hearing lots of Arsenal fans saying we haven't played anyone yet this season, and we do look like we will concede goals. Well, neither have they and they have looked shaky at the back too. Genuinely have no idea how this one plays out tbh, but only an idiot would be putting their mortgage on any result in this one. If you are a betting man you are probably putting your money on both teams to score and a flurry of yellow cards and leaving it at that imo. I make them favourites but not by much because they are at home, although we have had a week to prepare.

If we are basing it on form so far this season it's a coin toss imo, both beat United at home and also played some also rans and our form is identical. As long as we give it a go, I won't be too upset by any result as we are still at the beginning of our journey whilst they are 4 years on with Arteta at the helm.
Good post Trix.

Same as here mate. Mostly sensible posters and certainly a share of deluded/blinkered fans as well. I'd assume we get the worst of it posted here because, well, it's the lets all laugh at Arsenal thread or we are purposely looking for ridiculous posts.
all it takes is one wind up merchant and a group of people will always fall into their sides of the divide with fervent regiment

Went into a random shop, shopkeeper said something about cash being king, I said not really, its getting hard to spend.
He said, I went to the Emirates yesterday and that's cashless
I said, I went to the Emirates last season and it was soulless too
He said, Spurs fan are you? You have a great stadium, shame you didn't build a trophy cabinet
I said, that's original did you think that up yourself?
He said, you have no chance of winning on Sunday
I said, over confidence makes victory much sweeter and left his shop
And that is why the NLD is the biggest game of the season. COYS

Mostly because, like much of social media football, they're not "normal English blokes" but foreign teenagers who know nothing about the game.

Anything overwritten and nonsensical like the highlighted post is usually very easily identifiable as a foreign fan.

I always counter this with the "We did, it holds the 17 major honours Spurs have won in their history, including 8 FA Cups and the first ever League and Cup double, as well as European trophies which Arsenal have never won any of, because football didn't start in 1992 - how little do you know about the game to think that Spurs have never won anything?".

Only ever had to use it a couple of times but it's always met with muted attempts to row back and "It's just banter!" responses. Calling out someone's lack of knowledge always seems to put them nicely in their place.

Have to say the worst development about Arsenal in the last couple of years is not them becoming a decent team again but the Ashburton Army

Bunch of 15 year old wannabe ultras called Tarquin that live with mummy and daddy In a nice part of islington

Just makes the whole club look like a joke

Bent is a weird dude.

He's an Arsenal fan too isn't he? I think he holds a grudge towards us cause he was a failure when here.
