One of the Dutch Yids over on Total Tottenham translated a Dutch interview with VDV today...

I can imagine you had a good sleep after that victory?
I was quite tired so I definitely had a good sleep.

What are your thoughts on the game?
I think it was a good game. I think it was a great game to watch. A lot of tension and excitement. It's a big game that's very important to both sides, so if you win 2-1 that's great and it adds another blow to their season as well.

It was your 4th goal in 3 games against Arsenal. That surely must please the Spurs faithful?
Yes it does and it pleases me as well. It's a very important game to them so if you can prove yourself and be important for the team that's great. It's not just about scoring though, it's all about winning. And fortunately that happened in the last 10 minutes.

You scored but they made quite some fuss about you after the game. At the first goal it supposedly was hand ball and you celebrated with the crowd while you already were on a yellow. Wenger was pretty pissed about that.
They're off their trolley. They should just admit defeat and stop whining about it, right?

So is Wenger a sore loser?
Well he definitely didn't do a celebratory dance afterwards. He also had a little flare up with our assistant. But a lot of things happen in football . But it wasn't hand ball, it was a clean goal. Afterwards I did celebrate a bit too much with the crowd, I have to admit, but luckily the referee understood.

Its good fun watching the vid whilst reading along. VDV has a blunt honesty about him and seems to be in a great mood !

Just to add to the humour, my Dutch buddy just added this addendum...

I wanted to give you some extra interpretation on the translation. I translated "polonaise" as "celebratory dance" as I don't think anyone outside Holland knows the polonaise. So here goes the polonaise, a typical Dutch celebratory dance which has - I presume - it's origins from the celebration of Carnival. Sung by the original, the one and only, the legend Arie Ribbens in a day time show for seniors on Dutch TV. The man with the red tie is actually a politican of the Dutch labour party making a total ass out of himself. Fucking hilarious

I think we should adopt the Polonaise as our victory chant/dance, seomthing like Citeh with the Posnan (don'tthink the stewards would approve, though)

"They're off their trolley. They should just admit defeat and stop whining about it, right?" - VDVs legendary status is going through the stratosphere
