I swear I saw an article on SSN referencing Van to da B saying he wants to come to lil ole Spurs. Shame it didn't work out during the window but never look back. Van Der V is keeping him posted with wonderful insights to the training shenanighans.

So whatsay?

VdB and VdV playing beautiful total football - in a white shirt...in HMS Stratford upon Beckham?

"We had some contact with Spurs," he told Sky Sports News. "Unfortunately it didn't work out in the end.

"It's one of my favourite clubs in England, that's all I really want to say.

"I really love the stadium. I know the training ground because I've been there with the Dutch national team.

"Rafael has told me a lot of good stories. I'd love to play for Spurs. I've told Rafael that as well.

"I don't know how things will go. I'm pleased with what Harry Redknapp's said about me. That's always positive.

"It's not good to look back. You've got to look to the future. I'm happy at Milan, but you never know what will happen."

I like the bit in bold.

Would absolutely love him. Makes De Jong look saintly... and I love a footballer like that!

van Bommell is a swine akin to Jose Bartonio, but I think Jose is in the form of his life at the moment, VB is finished.

His legs are gone.

He might be able to coast through Serie A for a couple of months, but no way he'd be up to the pace of the EPL any more.

There is absolutely no reason why Van Bommel wouldn't make it here,he is as mobile as Tom Huddlestone,he is a better reader of the game, more competitive, more experienced especially in BIG games, better tackler, better leader, better captain and quite possibly a better passer.
Foreign players tend to look after themselves pretty good and I am sure that if he really wanted it,he could be a very good player for us.

Hard to believe anyone who's actually watched him for Bayern over the past couple of seasons could post this. Not one of Harry's brighter ideas.

Why, yes, clearly it means nothing that he's been playing there for the last five seasons. What else should we judge him on? His single failed season at Barça, perhaps? His performance in the Oranje Kung-Fu team in the last World Cup?

Past-it clog artist.

Do you seriously believe that he hasn't played one decent game in 5 years or played well in the World cup?

Important to point this out-he was absolutely useless then, and would be even worse now-the guy is completely finished and relies solely on aggression to get him through games-for anyone to even consider the idea that he is better than Huddlestone beggars belief, and really makes me wonder what games some people watch
