The OP has really tried to get his point across in a eloquent manner, however its just pure fantasy.
There is not much wrong with what we have. With a couple of additional home wins out of the 9 draws and not the 20 minutes of madness at Bolton we would have finished in the top 4 again.
A few players will go - O'Hara, Bentley, Keane, Kranjcar, Bassong, Hutton, Palacios and maybe JD or Pav too.
We will bring in 2 or 3 additional players to bolster the team.
The squad will be wittled down to maybe 20 first teamers and promotion of youth such as Kyle walker and Danny Rose.
Taking a team who lost only 8 games all season and 1 at home is just ludicrous. It aint broke so don't try and fix it.
Barca have been built up over the years and are a plethora of home grown talent.
Our team is electric on its day, but just needs a few tweaks to really challenge for the title.

Watch Modders and Sandro run the midfield. A rested Bale and Lennon, thrive on the wings. Gallas and Daws patrol the centre and VDV find his true position and partner. With Friedel in the nets we have a steady eddie who will save us more points than he loses (aka Gomes).

Great ideas and thoughts so but too complicated and in the end suicidal.
