No, just been fishing and hill-walking. It beats the fuck out of work, let me tell you, even if you've been self-employed for the last 20 years.

Honestly, I'm not bricking it. There are some seriously good sides we could draw, but they'll be at least as afraid of us as we are of them.

I'm repping you for that, it sent a shivver down my spine.

For me the most important signing this summer is someone who can play with Modric in midfield, another playmaker someone who is on the same wavelength as Luka.I really think Ozil is the one.
Thats a far more important signing for me than buying another striker.

Well at least we live up to Audere Est Facere. Hopefully Daniel Levy can pull out all the stops on this one. Would be a massive statement of intent. Better than any signing City have made to date imo.
i dare to ask...where would he play?

would that mean 4-5-1/4-3-3?

Huddlestone/Palacios/Modric/Lennon....Ozil?

Also does that mean Bale deffo at left back?

it begs the questions do we really need him.
For a player like Oezil, you make room in the team.

Possibly the ugliest midfield partnership ever?

Would love to have Ozil at the club personally. Slightly wary of buying a player on the back of a good tournament, but if Levy manages to pull it off i think it would be a major coup.

Signing one of the current hottest properties in the world from under the nose of red-nose would absolutely make my week.

I could see him playing behind defoe in a 4-4-1-1 formation or mabye on the left of a front 3 in a 4-3-3.

Still, i'm not gonna get my hopes up on this one. Not until i see it on the OS will i truly believe it after being stung so many times before.

The only problem with Ozil is that he prefers drifting in from the right flank, which doesn't really work with Lennon in the side. Therefore maybe:

Huddlestone-Palacios-Modric

Ozil-------------------Krancjar

It's kind of why I like the idea of Arda (although Ozil is better) as we could then have Lennon on the right and Arda on the left.

Definitely.

I like;

-------Hudd---Palacios----
Lennon----Ozzy----Modric

Gotta have the right type of striker to play up top on his own though.

Here's hoping, however slim the chances are, c'mon Levy!!

See my Sig Dan, get both, Ok Dzeko is probably not gonna happen but that position for Ozil.

Fazza that does look quality, although I would swap Turan and Modric round but no Lennon? The guy was the most dangerous RM in the league before his injury in my opinion. Definitely one of the first names on the sheet for me.

I'd buy that!

My slight amendment would be to move Modric deeper into his Ardiles position.

Ozil and Arda are a perfect pair to be the wide players in a 4-3-3 though.

Lennon, Modric and Oezil could switch positions throughout a game. I'd stick with the 2 sitting midfielders most of the time, and have those 3 get forward and link up with a front man. Preferably Forlan.

Where can Ozil play? I've really no idea if he could play on the left or in the centre of a 4-4-2... so unless he can then we would be buying him to play off a front man or be competition for Lennon?

Right midfield/right forward but drifting in in a 4-5-1/4-3-3.

He played more central for Germany with Mueller wide right. Maybe give him more of a free role behind the striker.
