Don't know too much about the player, only what I saw of him in the euros, is he worth £24m?

Akqayid's need to check his source. Our chairman has made an official approach to Athletico for a player they bought last year for 40 million euros? Seriously???Daniel Levy must have found oil beneath White Hart Lane.

Last summer I remember Harry saying that he would have loved to have signed players like Ashley Young, Downing, etc but said they just cost too much in transfer fees and wages. So whats changed from last summer to this summer?

Don't say investment or takeover cos it's all wishful thinking. Any extra money coming into Spurs will 100% go towards our new stadium. Only when our revenue from the stadium increases will we see us splashing the cash in terms of transfers and wages. People should know by now the way Tottenham is run under Joe, Daniel and ENIC.

There is money available just not for the likes of young or downing

Probably not, but is Modric worth 40mn?

Looking at his stats, he scores less than Modders and creates less, so in comparison, 24mn is probably not too wide of the mark.

Thanks, the way some folk on here creamed themselves when we were linked, I got the impression he would be a better player than Modric

Dunno if Lewandowski is any more realistic than Falcao, Dortmund are better club with better finances than Atletico Madrid and they are not looking to sell Lewandowksi.

They've already sold kagawa, can't see them selling lewandowski too

This is what other teams pay for players of this calibre, we're used to getting bargains

this will test Levy out

weasel?? I take it you're not a fan then?
I'm a fan of his footballing ability, but after the comments last year about joining the chavs, the whole "his heads not right" bollocks and just his overall desire to leave us....I personally can't stand the sight of the detestable little shit....and I hope....a la berbatov....that the grass isn't always greener.

There has to be decent midfielders out there for less than £23m!! Look at Newcastle paying £4m for Cabaye, that can't be a one off just need to look harder. I thinking if Porto are holding to random (which is what they do) then we are right to walk away.

Bit of a nutcase but we should put in a bid for M'Vila and put Sandro in a more box to box role I see a lot of Patrick Vieira in Sandro

With M'Vila's stock low after his behaviour in the euros he might be available at a decent price

Well on one hand I want him to see the bigger picture and accept the project we're looking to build, make a statement to say he's staying. I mean we've got one of (if not) the best training facilities in the world and a new stadium on the horizon which I feel will attract some really good players to add to the ones we develop. It seems the wage structure is also changing so the potential to earn more is there.
On the other hand the sentiments of being a fan says that he doesn't have Spurs in his heart which makes him a money grabbing twat..................but really if we think about it very few players actually play for the club because they have some sort of allegiance.
TBH it's not causing a problem like last season so who knows? His silence is a good thing though, even if he does move on
