If we're looking for a RB (and I'm sure we are) then OGC Nice's Youcef Atal should be right at the top of the list. Lad has the attacking ability of a top level winger and some of the best defensive stats (tackles, interceptions and pressures) in all of Ligue 1.

Absolutely amazing dribbling ability with elite pace and explosiveness.

I feel so out of touch, I used to feel like I knew 90% of possible targets now when I do a wishlist its so boringly obvious names haha, so its great to see people spot a player.

Trippier and Davies have to go. They may (or may not) be top 4 players but they are not top 2 players.

I remember ages ago that a coach believed Davies’ ultimate position would be centre back. I wouldn’t be too hasty to shift him. Not to say we don’t need another left back. Raphael Guerreiro would be a good choice.

I'd definitely keep Davies defensively he is good and can play LCB, not the greatest going forward but as a defending he is good.

Trippier just can't defend, he hasn't got recovery strength either. He does put in a decent ball now and then.

Funny cause we're second with them!

Although I agree as I think improvement in these areas would get us over the line

I’d stick at 3rd GK, LCB, DM, LCM and backup WF/CF for now.
Upgrading Trippier/Aurier at RB, Davies at LB and Lamela/Moura at RWF could wait for me.

I’m basing this on Eriksen, Vertonghen and Alderweireld not leaving, Vorm and Llorente not having their contracts renewed, Janssen and Nkoudou being sold.

New LB to replace either Rose or Davies.
New RB to replace either Trippier or Aurier (or of Walker-Peters is deemed ready, him).
New CM to replace Wanyama.
New back up target man.
HG third choice goalie.

I’m going with:

David Button
Max Aarons
Ben Chilwell
Ruben Neves
Alex Mitrovic

Same scenario (chances)
3rd GK: pick a name, don't really care
RB: Wan Bissaka (probably won't happen)
LB: Chilwell (definitely won't happen)
DM: Berge (please Levy please)
CM: Rabiot (please Rabiot please)
Forward: Timo Werner (no shot)

I love what Sissoko has brought this year, but we still need 2 new CMs. He is a player who's top form is based largely on athleticism and will turn 30 next season.

Yeah new DM and CM for sure, feel like they're plausible options out there who can work and not ruin our bank account(I agree with your choices 100%), Right back seems a big issue for us imo, got to shift two and try and bring in somebody of higher quality who can hit the ground running. Left back, Chillwell would be a dream but I think we might be able to get away with signing somebody who can develop there for a season if we keep Rose fit.

- Timo Werner--as so many have mentioned-- would make a hell of lot of sense. The lad is young, potentially available, proven, versatile enough to back up Kane or play across the front as need be, talented enough to challenge those in the current squad, and his wages maybe doable. Would probably cost a tidy sum and it's fair to questions whether the purchase would fit the club's philosophy of spending that amount on one player. I still feel he would be more attainable than say Zaha, who may be asked to play a similar footballing role but with a significantly inflated wage and transfer fee in comparison.

- Also would love someone like David Brooks form Bournemouth especially if Eriksen departs this summer. Again likely going to cost premium being English and 1 year removed from signing.

- Nicolo Barella for Cagliari would do very well as an Eriksen understudy or replacement, especially in a pressing system. Sadly I think too many money clubs are hovering over him to have a realistic chance.

See I don’t see Sissoko slowing down, he’s unbelievably fit. I think there’s at lest 2 good years in him. I only think we need on CM to replace Wanyama. I think if it’s Winks, Neves, Sissoko, Dier and then the likes of Dele, Eriksen, Foyth, Rose, all able to fill in there when necessary, we are doing fine. Don’t forget, Skipp will be more involved too next season.

I like the looks of Berge, and Genk have an excellent track record for developing to young players, but Neves has already shown he’s the real deal in this league and I think he could play successfully with any of Winks, Sissokon or Dier.

I guess my ideal next season would be to evolve as such:

Lloris
WPeters* Alderweireld Sanchez Chilwell
Winks
Eriksen Neves
Dele
Son Kane

Mitrovic Lucas
Lamela
Skipp Sissoko
Dier
Rose Vertonghen Foyth Trippier^
Gazzaniga~

*Aarons
^Aurier
~Button
You’ll note that four of my five signings are Premiership proven, and the fifth has been flying in the Championship. Mitrovic will be relegated in all likelihood and Button I’m sure would rather play back up here than Brighton. Ok, Chilwell, Neves would be difficult to extract but they’re both top quality young players who would also improve our first team.

WISHLIST shortlist (doesn’t mean I think we will get them and not saying we should sign them all)

Highly unrealistic or Pipe dream signings but some may also be available (if reports and common sense are to be believed):

Werner
Rabiot
Isco
Ndombele
Sancho
Bale
Matthijs de ligt
Zaha

Premiership proven players:
Neves
Brooks
Chilwell
Lascelles
Ake

Young prospects either no prem experience or not fully proven in the league yet:
Sessegnon
Berge
Aarons
Hudson-Odoi
Loftus-cheek

Wan Bissaka to replace Trippier and Aurier. He'd cost a lot, but with him and KWP we'd probably be sorted at RB for the next ten years.

A new HG keeper to replace Vorm.

Werner to replace Llorente & VJ.

A new CM to replace Dembele... Rabiot seems ideal, but unlikely.

Possibly a replacement for Vic as well, depending on if they think he can overcome his fitness issues.

If Toby goes we'd need a new center back. How about Diego Godin from Athletico Madrid? He's 32 now, but available on a free so could be a good option for a year while we concentrate on other positions? I haven't seen him much this year, so he could be past it for all I know, but he still seems to be playing and Athletico are doing well again.

Some have kind of mentioned this, but if we're worried about bringing in too many players at once and disrupting squad cohesiveness in the process, what about signing some of the young English talent mentioned and then loaning them back for a season?

Would mean that we could sign 6, 7 or even 8 players, but 2, 3 of 4 of them wouldn't have to be integrated into the squad until 12 months down the line.

PS Not that I think Spurs could sign 2 players in a TW, let alone 8! But this is the 'wishlist' so what the hell

Poch doesn't seem to be a fan of the loan system. He seems to use it for academy players to get a bit of experience or as a shop window when the player isn't in his plans. I doubt we'd buy to loan out. I'd have liked us to try get a deal done for Berge for next year with Genk retaining him til the end of the season but nothing happened.

GK: someone HG
RB: Wan-Bissaka
CB: (If Toby leaves) Lascelles
DM: Berge
CM: (If Eriksen leaves) Milinkovic-Savic
Forward: Warner

With them we would have a very strong side adding depth in key positions. Even if we lost Toby & Eriksen.

Young Talent:
Brooks (CM)
Sessegnon (LWB)
Under (LW/RW)
Arp (ST)

Get a couple of those young guys in for Poch to work with.

All pipe dreams. I expect us to sign maybe one or two that none of us have heard of or seen.

We should have got Berge wrapped up and loaned back. This summer we will no doubt be surprised when bigger clubs blown us out the water.
