Costel Pantilimon is up for a corner, Tottenham head the ball away, Jan Vertonghen strokes the ball into the unguarded net but the linesman's flag is up. Why?

Kane hatter tomorrow, feel it in my waters. Defoe to score as well, natch.

Got a really good feeling about tomorrow which usually means the shit Spurs turn up. Really hope Mason is back and will be interested to see if Velkjovic is on the bench and, if so, at whose expense.

Their away record is pretty good it seems to be fair.

Picked up more points away from home than at home. 11 points away, 9 at home.

not so good against us in the PL.

13 games, they have won 1 drawn 1 and we have won 11

As ever a relatively early goal would be massive. Despite all the Defoe hype, I fully expect him to be on the bench and their bus to be parked in proper fashion. No 4-4-2 an opening the game up, Poyet isn't that stupid. If they're still in the game with 20 minutes to go I'm sure Defoe will get on.

I just hope we arn't sluggish because that's a disastrous combination with a team that's come to sit very deep.

Oshea and Brown are getting on, hopefully we can expoit their lack of speed with some zippy interplay around their box. A fresh Eriksen and Kane should be too much for them.

3-1 Spurs but will be cagey enough. Expect it to only get comfortable in the last twenty minutes when they go for it and we get the third that kills it.

Rumors on the Sunderland boards that they're going 4-4-2 with Defoe and Fletcher starting lol.

Please let it be true. An open game would suit us down to the ground, instead of break us down with ten men behind the ball like usual when facing bottom half sides at WHL.

Cattermole and Bridcutt out leaves them with a serious lack of steel in midfield. We need to go for the jugular.

Perfect world would be to be in a position to rest up Kane and Eriksen last twenty minutes as Wednesday game is huge. I expect it to be a tight game though.

I predict another game where we struggle to get the ball forward quick enough due to having no mason and Bentaleb and end up passing the ball a lot in front of their defence. Hopefully we nick a goal early or the game will be very frustrating.

Looking at that graphic I can't believe that lee cattermole only has 9 yellow cards... Surely he would be expecting to be well into double figures by now?
