A bit tired of seeing us facing these lesser teams. QPR, Limassol, now this. When will the season really start with top-notch competition? :playful:

I think Dier will play CB and Naughton will come in to RB. Otherwise it'll be the same team as QPR

I haven't watched enough of dier to be sure of this yet but don't you think he already looks like a better fullback than naughton?

@teok Yeah but after Kaboul played 90 minutes I'm unsure if he'll start on Sunday. Perhaps a proper pre season means he will be back to full fitness! I can't see Fazio starting against Liverpool. Save his debut for West Brom I think!

Just imagine a good win against them though. If we come raring out the blocks, are two up at HT and end up winning by 3 with a dominating performance, I'd register for RAWK and explode all over their forum. Third generation Irish Fenians.

Classy post

I think so, but I don't know so. Will do if he plays RB on Sunday.
I expect the QPR team with maybe Kaboul swapped.

Apologies, being from just outside Liverpool myself though now residing in Scotland, maybe I know more regarding the history of the area than some on this board.

Anyway, Liverpool was widely renowned as the headquarters of the Fenian movement in England in the mid-nineteenth century.

Really looking forward to this game, big test to see how far we come, I'm just a little worried we might get overrun in midfield.

I can see us getting torn apart sadly, Sterling, Lallana and Sturridge will tear us apart.
Might be negative but just my opinion and I hope I'm wrong.

4-1 to Liverpool.

I don't think it will be that bad (we can score against them) but balotelli will definitely score on his debut. I reckon 2-2 or some thing is more likely although obviously I hope we smash them.

They've no Glen Johnson, Moreno or Skrtel. Or so it looks like.

Weak at full back and a new pairing of Lovren and Sakho. A high press could cause them all sorts of problems.
