I think we will get a comfortable win tommorow. They haven't looked very good so far and aside from one game last season have a poor record at WHL. Time to get some revenge for last season I reckon COYS!

Last season we matched liverpool first half and were unlucky with a disallowed goal.
Only when paul saw red did Liverpool take over.
This year no Suarez and were much more settled.
Close game and hopefuly nick it.

I'm sorry but it's revisionist to the point of delusion to say we matched them in the first half last season. They were deservedly 2 goals up as we were well off the pace all over the pitch and they had us chasing shadows.

Tomorrow should be very different and hopefully we'll get the win to shut them up and give them a scare about their Top 4 hopes this season, but let's not do the bin-dippers' trick of re-writing the past. We're better than that.

Jamie reckons a high scoring draw. He says Kaboul flopped in big games last term. I disagree with his view that Lamela and Ade are too lazy to keep the high line intact.

Totally agree.

I was at the game and we were never in it. Sterling set about Naughton right from the off and the rest was history. We were shocking.

The good news is, there will be no repeat of that tomorrow.

They may have given Naughton at left back a roasting, but all over the park?
Sorry I don't agree, when Paul saw red yes.
All opinions of course and yes lets hope we get the result we need.

If mario starts they have to drop one of coutinhio, sterling or Sturridge. I can't see them doing that tomorrow. We will play same team as vs Qpr

I thought he was bang on about Kaboul though. In every single game Kaboul has made some boneheaded mistakes that have gone unpunished so far.

Even in the last game against Limassoll he got turned inside out and allowed their Polish striker an almost free run and shot to the net, but the striker opted to shoot from where he was and Lloris made the save look easy. Kaboul hugely misplayed it though and instead of protecting inside he got faked outside and gave up a huge acre of space. If he makes that mistake against Liverpool it's going to be in the back of the net unless Lloris performs a miracle.

Im so nervous, its been a while since i felt like this before a game. I really want us to win, in reality though its only our 3rd PL game under Pochettino, as long as we play with some pride ill be happy.

IMO, they need the to not lose more than we do. If we lose, it's just a blip for a new team learning new tactics. If Liverpool lose, they only have 3 points from 3 games, 2 weeks for it to play on their minds and they haven't even had to cope with CL football yet. This could give us a slight physiological advantage going in.

There's not many things that will get me out of bed at 6am on Sunday morning to sit in front of the Telly for 2 hours, but this is one of them. Hopes are high and this is a different Spurs team to last year. They are hungrier and more confident. Looking for a win tomorrow (or today depending where you are reading this)

10 pm KO here. Such a reasonable hour.

...match day troll prediction for this game, regardless of who plays:
- Sacred cows Lamela, Soldado, Sandro, Kaboul, and Holtby will do something great or be 'on the verge of greatness'
- Whipping boys Naughton, Rose, Paulinho, Townsend, and Lennon will be deemed not worthy to wear the shirt
;)

Bentaleb?
steady eddie.

for all the scaredy cats, the high pressing system is especially useful against the higher-end ball playing teams, so don't expect to see any kind of capitulation, our mentality as a club is far improved from last year and imo we will see a good, cohesive performance, whatever the result.

If Spurs players stand up and be counted, we'll win this. Liverpool are so arrogant at the moment, they think they'll win easily, but honestly believe we have a better starting eleven than they do. If we do the business it's obviously going to put their noses out of joint and they'll obviously have some nonsense excuse. No way will BR ever admit we're a better team.

I hope we rip those self righteous wan?ers a new one today.

So looking forward to this game which will be a 12.30am kick off for me. I am not really convinced about our defence at corners and free kicks. I do think we are a better prepared team than last year though. Big day for Rose to see how he copes with Sterling. Really nervous and its still about 6hrs to go.
