These players are athletes, I'm sick and tired of people trotting out the same old shite that modern players can't produce twice in one week, it's bollocks!!! Until about 20years ago players that smoked, boozed it up, partied and shagged like rabbits played in much smaller squads and 60 - 70 games a season, today's players are far too fucking pampered!!

I would definitely agree that Levy expects top 4. I would rather we won a cup but if people thought that the club's expectation was just winning a cup then there would still be a lot of moaning about a lack of ambition.

I have to say I'm not the slightest bit sorry to see us go out tonight , quite frankly we do not at the moment have the player resources to mount top 4 , FA cup and Europa cup games , last night for instance cost man u one of their best players for a cup final on Sunday, the match vs Millwall would have been sandwich between two euro ties not to mention the Thurs and Sunday match scheduled , we now have on paper very winnable games in the prem to April and enable us to buy big or strengthen for a real push for champion league next season with experience added also

I like the positive look on this but really it's about winning trophies or at Least getting to finals, going out to gent in the Rd of 32 will not have done any good for the confidence of this team or any of the players.

Only one problem in all that which is if we beat Millwall there is a chance that the semi final will be at Wembley, so maybe at the 209th attempt we might win at Wembley.

And despite these stats and getting these with ten men for 45+ minutes, I still read comments that this result is down to Poch. The defeats against Dortmund last season, one could say that his team selection back then had a big influence. But he picked a fairly strong team in Gent and went full strength into tonight's game.

If anyone has to take the blame it's Dele, for complicating things massively by getting a stupid but deserved red.

It's become such a refrain that people just accept that argument now that players need rest. It's almost an obsession that so and so needs a break after a couple of games or he will be exhausted.

Completely agree, I think the smaller ground and tighter atmosphere will help us, frankly I am worried about our new stadium as well and how we will cope with that.

Wembley however is just bad for us in general, it will be a long hard season next year at that ground.

we have a number of inconsistent players that we haven't upgraded and as a result will always get inconsistent performances and results. recruitment last summer was poor and unfortunately I feel we will just fall short in the league and cup. top 4 will be tough.
the formula to beating us is there for all too see, defend deep, frustrate and rile us and then hit us on the break.

You cannot break an omelette without breaking eggs. We may have a few setbacks but in the end the new stadium will be great for us.
