Think of the games recently were we have had all the possession but still lost (Chelsea being the prime example). As long as we win guys who cares. Our midfield need to sort themselves out though.

Listen, we aren't suddenly going to make any tactical switches or substitutions that swing the possession stats markedly in our favour, plus the fact that arguably our best shot at scoring is capitalising on some one on one defending on the counter.

Defensively resolute, midfield efficient and if we can factor Eriksen more into this game, we can go on and win because there'll absolutely be opportunities for us.

They are very good, we're doing extremely well to be in front.

The ball is just not sticking for us too often.

OK so we're beating Dortmund and all I see is negativity. This thread is worse than Twitter now.
You're right, noone should be talking about us being overrun. They've had 70%+ possession. Plenty of positive posts about our goals and defending.

Love our goals, and our defence is pretty impressive if rather harum-scarum!
However, if we continue to concede so much possession I'm afraid were going to lose this match.

yeah, I was half paying attention and he said something about the play starting from an offside position?
Yeah - it was slightly offside on the first pass down the left wing - no direct impact on the goal, other than it would never have been set up iff the offside was called. But it was tight.

Dembele is strength and power - Dortmund are all about quickness. Its like trying to swat at gnats with a hammer.

Dembele doesn't look fit to me. He's not been on his game in pre season either. I'm not sure that their pace would stop him usually. He's too good at shifting the ball and getting his body between man and ball...

They are going in hard without lubricant. Rather than us being sloppy. Surely they can't keep this pace up?

No we have a few players being very sloppy, making unforced errors. Kane's flick, Lloris almost taking the ball out of his box, Dembele playing like a headless chicken. We're not our normal selves and some of our players look very off. Others like Alderweireld look up to the occasion but there are too many who don't.

Fuck this ref again. Stopping our break because a Dortmund player got a ball in the face

Dembele has problem with the high tempo and the intensive pressing from Dortmund. He is too slow. Sissoko on for Dembele? He has the pace.
Boy do we miss Deli. We said it all transfer window, we need more options in midfield going forward. We rely so much on Erickson and it ain't happening. Can't believe we are hoping Sucksoso can make the difference in this game. Bottom line they are a better side than us. Can't see us qualifying in this group. Unfortunately we will probably finish 3rd and end up playing bloody Thursday Sunday's again.

Here we go again then! If Dortmund don't score again it'll be a miracle, thankfully it looks like we've been able to carve out a few chances on the break, so I reckon we've got another goal in us somewhere too.

Why has the ref blown there and denied us a goal scoring opportunity
