Honestly the football media in this country needs a shake up, they have far too much influence on things and aren't even trying to hide the biased behaviour now.

No interview from Poch, a Chelsea highlights package lined up ready in expectation for them to win and Sky to make an hour long special about breaking the record for wins.

The commentary team suggesting it will be tough to win the league from 7 points behind but then suggesting that everyone down to sixth place is in the running for the title whilst somehow still managing to mention us as little as possible.

Maybe Dele is right, it's better to be under the radar, let them keep talking us down, it did us no harm last season, actually it was only when they started talking us up that it went to shit, well that and the fact the media were basically pulling Leicester by the neck to the title with the micro analysis of every single decision for and against them.

I honestly can't stand the media in this country, I prefer watching the US broadcasts of games because they at least try to be down the middle, over here you have BT sport which is essentially Liverpool TV and Sky which is essentially anyone but spurs TV.

If you can't excited about that performance then I'm not sure what would excite you, we didn't thrash them by any means, it was a very tight game and you could tell they were the best 2 defences. Bare in mind the teams Chelsea have beat on this run home and away, and we played a formation that we have only played on a few occasions. It's a great win.

Maybe I am being harsh we were very good defensively I just don't think we were outstanding going forward. Kane wasn't involved in the match and we only created two chances but luckily that was all we needed!

WTF is with no Poch interview??

So proud tonight, we did exactly what needed to be done. Didn't get sucked into getting too physical with them, I honestly thought there would be a red tonight but the lads kept their heads. Would love to be in that dressing room! Must be an incredible vibe. Take that you Chelsea *****! Everyone over to The Shed End to feast on those bitter tears.

Harsh, we were playing a team that had only let a few goals in 13 games!

Here's the transcription of Poch's interview:

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino talking to Sky Sports: “I think after that victory we can talk a lot but the most important thing was we were competitive against a team in very good form, one of the best in Europe, and we feel very proud and pleased because the performance was very solid.

“To cope with that type of game, not only to play well, but to be competitive is a thing only you can learn with time and experience.

“Maybe we missed a little bit to fight for big things last season. The most pleasing thing was we showed big character against a team fighting for big things.

"We are in a good position, third in the table, but it is a long way to finish the season."

Mauricio Pochettino on Tottenham goalscorer Dele Alli: "He is showing fantastic skills in front of the goal. He is a great player and one who has potential to improve. He was fantastic today again.

"It is very important to keep in our mind that belief and in football it is always important to think of the next game and to keep going. It is difficult to stop and enjoy that fantastic result."

On Alli:
Tottenham goalscorer Dele Alli speaking to BBC Sport: "It is strange for me to use my head rather than my feet, but today I didn’t get on the ball as much as I wanted. I felt that if I was going to dribble it would be with my head!

"There is a bit of history between the sides now after last season and I think we wanted to stop their run like they did ours. We are happy to stay under the radar and keep picking up the points. We are not going to get carried away, there is always room for improvement."

Whenever I've seen him he's been very complimentary about us to be fair

Agreed, but tonight he called us a good team, but it sounded like he meant a 'good team' in that we'll give teams a game but not title material. Not once did he actually say we could go for the title, we were just included under the 'top 6 could win it' type talk, which was more to include the Mancs than to big us up.

Really like Souness tho. "Cahill may say they weren't at it, they were, they just played the best team they've played"

He's right too. There wasn't much in it. We were just at it.

A fitting finale to so called '3 points Lane'. This will be my lasting memory of Chelsea at WHL, and it couldn't have been sweeter.

But putting the flint-bashers aside for one minute, this really kickstarts our season. 3rd in January and have managed to do it whilst rarely going flat out. I'm a lot more confident than last season that we will still be fighting fit at the end.

Oh and what a player Dele is. Not always the best player on the pitch, but often the most decisive.

No pochettino interview on sky, what a crock of shit sky are

I reckon he didn't make himself available within the scheduled slot.

And I didn't see any bias post match, they spoke well about both teams.

Not bad for a manager with no plan b.
Said when people were moaning about that that Poch would get 4231 solid and totally ingrained before he diversified.

It's not that he didn't have anything else up his sleeve, he wanted to organise a previously very disorganised group of players and fix them to his trademark shape then work off of that solid base to expand his ideas.

Fans are just too damn impatient sometimes. lol

This formation suits us mainly because it allows us to get our best 11 footballers on the pitch together. A lot is said about tactics and whilst it is clearly important it is the players, and having no real weak link, that make most difference.

It will be interesting once Lamela returns as for me he is the only one who has a genuine chance of being considered in top 11, but for me I would keep as it is. Dier is a really good player and I wouldn't want him dropped.
