I think the notion that defense wins you title is so wrong. It's the goals that win you matches and eventually you win the title because you won those matches .. But here we can't score a single goal and scrapping into the upper midtable. Also our game play is extremely boring and static, we only seem to score a goal by shooting outside the box and hope that opposition goalkeeper makes a mistake...

Also why would we are lingering around buying players like njie , nkoudou and also sissoko? Surely we could pour all 3 of their wages and transfer fee into a one single player like mane and that would eventually help us not only right now but also for future as well ? or buying average players after players is a smart strategy ?

Dear Pochettino, please make us really good like we used to be when we played Man City last month. And don't buy players who aren't as good as other players. And remember that if you score goals then you can win matches and then you will win the title because you won those matches because you scored goals, so score goals. Thanks for reading.

I stood there last night wondering if I was watching a Poch or AVB team and I wasn't the only one asking that question....

I know there will be people who now gonna see two or three things :

1. we are the most solid teams in the league. conceded less goals..

2. we are just 3 points off top..

But why are we overlooking the bigger picture here ? We are not creating enough chances , that is the main problem ...

Defences do win titles but you have to do that in tandem with scoring goals which obviously we cant do this season effectivly.
As for the players we purchased that is company policy from Levy that we buy cheap and develop it, even if they are not at the level we require right now.
The question has to be asked of sissoko why? And the lack of urgency and movement is appaling, poch will earn his money now trying to sort out this mess.

3. We miss Kane, alderweirield, dumbbell, Lamela and ROSE.

We don't have the finances not to miss those players.

We are on a bad run but still 5 points above 7th, hardly mid table.

Mane cost similar money to Sissoko. Would you really want Mane on a much higher salary than players like Lloris, Alderweireld and Kane.

Our strategy is to mostly buy talented players a few years before their prime.

Are you complaining about signing Alderweireld, Dier and Alli? No you point out a couple of guys who haven't made an impression yet, 2 in their first season, then make out our entire trasnfer strategy is wrong.

Son was getting similar criticism last season, he has just won player of the month.

No one likes our current run but the points you make aren't very valid.

Cant even think of creating chances when we dont move around what so ever and just pass side to side. All very rigid this season. That was the downfall of AVB and will be the downfall for Pochettino unless he loosens things up, gives chances to youngsters when his first choice players are constantly shit(im looking at you, eriksen, dele, dier). I'd much rather see what Harrison can do than go another game where we know what will happen with Janssen, if Kane is still hurt. Lets be honest, all the praise Poch gets for playing a clubs youth does not hold up to much scrutiny no matter how much the media and the fans want to think other wise.

Also, unless Pochettino learns how to manage during a game, not much will change. Clubs know how to set up vs us very well now. Time to get a plan b and learn to how to change a fucking game. And maybe we should go back to a transfer comittee. Pochettino dropped close to £50 on Sissoko and Janssen. Close to 50 fucking million pounds. Abysmal. Waste. Of. Money.

We have had a lack of creativity and pace for a long time. There has been a pressing need to recruit new players to correct this. Until this is done we will continue to have problems.

We aren't that solid, I mean Lloris has saved our skin so many times. Last night was not solid.

I am so angry with this performance and our performances in the CL. We work all of last season to each this stage and we give it away. We are such ****s. I'd sack the lot.

Suppose I shouldn't point out that lots of people on here said I didn't know what I was talking about when I mentioned for 2 years that not getting strikers in the transfer windows was going to bite us if we lose the only real goal scorer we have.

We are too reliant on Kane and without him we are crap. We can bounce the ball around all night long but no real threats that can put the ball in the net on a regular basis. Then we go a goal down and no way back.

Right now we are pretty boring that is for sure.

The teams that might be most fun to watch?

Liverpool and Arsenal

Liverpool: Firmino, Coutinho, Origi, Sturridge, Lallana, Can, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Mane, Milner

Arsenal: Sanchez, Chamberlain, Ozil, Cazorla, Ramsey, Iwobi, Coquelin, Xhaka, el nenny, Giroud

Tottenham: Dele, Kane, Janssen, GKN, Sissoko, Eriksen, Lamela, Son, Dembele, Wanyama, Dier

Now for me, name for name, we don't look that bad, sans our French Robot. But, and it is a big BUT, we lack directness and guile.

Middle of the park:

Liverpool: Can, Henderson, Wijnaldum

Arsenal: El Nenny, Xhaka, Coquelin

Tottenham: Dier, Wanyama, Dembele

Obvious to me that we have beasts, but we have sacrificed a bit of footballing IQ for power. Liverpool and Arsenal choose to play a CM or two that are more fluid with the ball.

Attacking third:

Liverpool: Lallana, Coutinho, Mane, Sturridge, Origi, Milner, Firmino

Arsenal: Sanchez, Ozil, Iwobi, Alex, Giroud, Santi, Ramsey

Tottenham: Dele, Kane, Janssen, Eriksen, Sissoko, GKN, Lamela, Son

We lack directness and guile. Lamela is the only one that attempts risky forward passes and attempts to play 1-2s with people, but we fail at that more often than not. We are relying on a mid and a forward line that are more Braun than brains.

Some personnel changes need to be made to fix our attack. Something we have all been calling for for ages.

You mean the exact thing that every Tottenham fan has said every day for the last 2 years?

That's a load of chuff. Hugo is part of the defensive unit and contributes to our solidity with great saves. One thing we have been this season is solid. We've only conceded 5 goals in the league in 10 games!

You can criticse the lack of creativity and attacking threat we've had this season for sure, but at the back (with Toby as well) we've looked solid.
