nice post GP :) take your points - however in some companies at least if you spent a considerable part of your life moaning about the company - chances are you won't progress- in general 'positive people' tend to be more successful in life and I'm sure Spurs would be more successful if people actually cheered and supported the team much more than what they do

Absolutely. But as with company workers, Spurs fans are a mixed bunch. Some are fickle, some are overly negative, some are overly positive. You can't change people's fundamental way of being without a lot of counselling. Maybe an SC Help Group would be beneficial?

good point N10 :)

As I keep going on - what the hell do Spurs fans have to complain about (ok - we all enjoy a moan now and then) , but the moaning whinging lot that congregate at the Lane (obviously not all spurs fans - but a sizeable proportion) for most of the season - and the OTT negativity on so many websites - WTF?

we've won major trophies 6 decades in a row - (only Man U match that) - we're ever presnts in world football's new 'holy grail' (or is that cash cow?) the all conquering premier league

one season out of the the top flight in most fans' lifetime -

privileged during that time to have witnessed so many great players and matches - yet we hear about 'long suffering' spurs fans

what about port vale grimsby yeovil ipswich exeter west ham norwich sheff wed newcastle darlington york aldershot leeds forest - surely they have all suffered much worse - I could list plenty more

Hi DC, good post and your bang on the money, always better to be a half full man rather than a half empty.

Those that feel it's a hard graft being a Spurs supporter should have a sit down and thank there lucky stars that they didn't become a spammer!!!!

Our support is probably one of the most loyal and optimistic, when you consider the number of false dawns. I've been supporting the team since 1977/8 and over the last 30 years, I've lost count of having that feeling that "we here, we've made it" only to be kicked in the bollocks. I think that's the most exciting thing about supporting this club is you're never ever confident that we will win our next game, and this adds to the excitment.

Erm, technically that would make us number about 6000 worldwide, only 60.5 in the UK. Just thought you'd want to get your godamned facts right. The sheer ignorance of some people really astounds me.

You know what i think ??
