I'm breaking my own rule of trying not to be negative about people far more successful than I could ever dream of being but I have to get this off my chest

Danny Kelly is now ruining the previously excellent View from the lane podcast for me. The constant talking is too much and he's reaching Ricky Saks levels of cringe now.

I can't manage five minutes of the last word on spurs because of Saks modern day young partidge impression and Kelly is like his father figure here.
I know what you mean about Ricky. Lwos is just too much. 2-3 shows a week and always 2 hours long. I prefer fighting cock, Rule the roost and Dr Tottenham.

Really? I think Kelly has given the podcast great energy, it was too smarmy before.

Sacks does a good job but with the same guests and stuff it gets a bit repetitive

Appreciated the thread bump because I've contributed before and gave my thoughts, but as I drive around a lot I listen to many of them, and my views have evolved a bit. Here's my list of the best in really two tiers:

Tier 1 (Nearly every part of every episode is informative or entertaining):

1) Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham. Only once a week, always quality, and I think they are just easy to listen to and have possibly a more objective look at the team. They also tend to talk about different aspects of the club in the one episode that take other podcasts two or three episodes to discuss. They don't go onto pointless or boring tangents either.
2) The Fighting Cock. I've come around to them....they still curse way more than I'd like and are a bit too crude sometimes, but in the end they are just very funny and entertaining. I think they are good Spurs fans for a podcast and like their views. Feels the best as an American of being in the ground/pub and listening to other fans.

Tier 2 (This is not a firm ranking because not every episode is great, and they are inconsistently entertaining, drag on too long, or cover/drift off on topics that are boring or not entertaining):

3) View From the Lane. Kelly doesn't bother me as much as others - I kind of like an old head who has been a Spurs fan longer than me. Charlie Eccleshare, Jack Pitt-Brooke, and James Maw are for the most part informative and entertaining, and I like the way they look at players and matches.
4) The Extra Inch. Nathan A Clark is my favorite part (maybe because my name is also Nathan). Windy and Bardi are hit or miss, but good and funny for the most part. Definitely feels more like a my generation (millenial) podcast with some of the things they talk about and the angles they take.
5) LWOS. I don't mind Ricky Sacks too much...most of the guests are good and appreciate their insight/takes. It has a wide variety depending on the guests which makes some shows really good to listen to and others just a waste of time. I also think it could be 40-60 minutes shorter because it feels like Ricky just likes asking the same questions in different ways so I feel there is some major redundancy which can get boring quickly.
6) Rule the Roost. One I've been trying to listen to more, I've liked a few episodes but just need to listen to more to learn about.

I''ve taken a listen to Dr. Tottenham, All Things Tottenham, Let's Talk Tottenham (Chris Phillips), and The Tottenham Depot but I guess the most enlightening thing I could say about them is that I didn't like them well enough to keep listening.

Okay, most are not going to care to read all that, or care about my views at all, but that was nice to get off my chest and out of my head.

View from the lane is my favorite, it is the most professional and has likable original topics. I think Danny Kelly is brilliant.

Dr Tottenham is good when all the guys are there, when anyone is missing it loses something.

The Extra Inch is ok, does tend to be a little self righteous and virtue signalling at times but when they stick to the Spurs stuff it is ok although Bardi's Hojbjerg hate is beginning to grate.

View of the Lane is my stand out. As others have said Fighting Cock took a while to grow on me but I actually really enjoy it, even if the wife sometimes doesn't appreciate the depth they go into about certain non related football subjects on occasions.

LWOS and Chris Cowlin's all depends on what guests they have on. I like Jason, Darren and Frankie on LWOS but there are a couple that I think are just absolutely clueless.

When I originally went looking for a spurs podcast I found the spurnews podcast on Spotify. I've since broadened my podcast range but I still listen to it on a Thursday when it comes out even though its not my go to anymore.

I like the way it's just two supporters discussing the goings on at the club and can be an easy listen as they don't take themselves too seriously or go too deep into things.

Feels like conversations you might have with your mates after or before a game.

Now that football is rolling and the NFL is about to take off, my podcast feed is getting overwhelmed again. The only Spurs one I listen to is The Flying Cock. Otherwise it's mostly the broader football podcasts for me.

Kelly grew on me, think it actually creates an interesting dynamic, which things like this need.
Yeah I think Kelly improves the podcast. I like the other 3 but they're all of a similar generation and have a similar(ish) outlook and sense of humour. I think it helps to have Kelly in there as an older fan and a very different presence. The combination makes it a much more interesting listen to me - I was getting a bit bored of it before he joined.

Danny Kelly was really off-putting initially but he's since grown on me. My favourite Spurs pod nowadays is one that BBLG - formerly on here - started, the Spurs Plus Dave podcast. Having an impartial Leeds fan on there is a nice touch and I've found the podcast to be a bit of a midway between all the others, it's informative and funny without being as milquetoast as VFTL or as vulgar as TFC.

Wait people actually like listening to Ricky Sacks?!

The Fighting Cock, VFTL, TEI and Gold and Guest are the ones I listen to every week.

I don’t mind Danny Kelly, can’t stand Ricky Sacks and agree with Bardi somewhat on Hojbjerg but each to their own. Rob Guest has the tone of voice like he couldn’t be more bored, it’s quite funny.

Each podcast has their merits, TFC will always help me get over any disappointment but I like listening to them all if we win.

The most recent View from the Lane was so much better without Danny Kelly. Felt like a proper discussion and not a Talksport radio show.
Still feels that way to me. Danny brings a counterbalance and is die hard spurs.. I don’t mind him at all. There is still the serious discussion.

These are mine too... but I also enjoy LWOS most of the time.

As much as Ricky can be a touch partridge at times, I think he just loves Spurs, and that comes across enough for me to enjoy it (I'm not a fan of the Phoenix 51 advert though. lol)

I can’t listen to Ricky. Yet. I did used to think that about TFC because of the crude nonsense. But I’ve learnt to get past that so maybe I will with Ricky. But I doubt it, a little bit like Chris Cowlin… take themselves too seriously.

Don’t get why people don’t like Ricky. He’s a decent host, works incredibly hard to bring lots of content and most of all a passionate fan.

Personally love listening to LWOS.

my favourite guests would be

Lee
Jason
Frankie
John (Lillywhite rose)
Costa

LWOS is borderline unlistenable. Don’t mind Sacks so much as the guy from the Aprentice, talks utter nonsense

Lee does talk some bollocks but is surpassed by Sammy Powell. That bloke talks so much bollocks I don't know how he even gets an invite on there.
