Tottenham face a challenge to offload Tanguy Ndombele after he was booed off the pitch in Sunday’s FA Cup win over Morecambe. Spurs are open to offers for Ndombele but remain conscious of the difficulties involved in any deal, and they are set to explore a number of possibilities this month.

Sources close to the French midfielder last night acknowledged that he may have to leave the club in the transfer window, while insisting he was still happy at Spurs and determined to fight for a place in Antonio Conte's team.

He's happy to be on 200k a week, that's why he's happy to stay here. He isn't getting anywhere close to that anywhere else lets be honest. Real shame we sold Sissokko and kept him, and Sissokko is the worst footballer purely ability wise I can remember at the club.

Well that's all fine and good.

But when is he going to actually show this fighting spirit. ?? o_O

How is he happy to stay? Didn't he ask to leave ?
If I ask to leave my job I can't be happy

My mind translates this as,

"My agent had told me that because I've been so unprofessional, lazy and disrespectful to fans, thats its highly unlikely anyone will stump up the money you're on now. Milk it to the end of your contract and then get another mug to pay you handsomely, albeit less than now".

I think we'll end up loaning him out to a slower league where he can stroll about. He'd be pretty good in old geezers 'walking football' though.

The whole thing has "contract terminated" in 18-24 months written all over it.

Unless Levy takes a massive hit on him :cautious: Seriously can't see anyone stumping up more than £15m and that would be with him taking a fraction of his current wage which is why i think he'll just milk us until he can leave for free.

Maybe he'll do some soul searching in that time but i wont hold my breath...

If someone offered us £15m for him we should take it but I wouldn't be surprised if unrealistically we were looking for double that.

if someone offered us £1.50 we should take it as long as we dont have to pay his wages

This is quite ironic as my Dad, late 60's, plays walking football and after seeing T.N'D's performance at the weekend, did actually say some of his footy lot move quicker than T.N'B!

Agree. We need to handle this like a big club would. Basically make it attractive for another club to take him (probably first on loan) like Man city did to us with Adebayor. I can see Tanguy being a success in Italy or Spain but we will need to cover a significant chunk of his wages to make it happen

Imagine if it were possible to combine Sissoko's work ethic with Ndombele's ability.

Kevin Scott made Sissoko look silky.

Mousa Dembélé?
Probably how we ended up with Tanguy as he is the closest thing to Dembele from a technique perspective. Poch was probably seduced by his close control and eye for a pass and overlooked the fundamentals of stamina, hard work and grit required for the PL.

He was quite willing to run when he played for France in the World Youth Cup. The whole French group had speed and skills.
