Doubt it. Phantom of the opera mask, plenty players with fractures still play with appropriate protection.
i dunno - hope you're right and we've obviously seen that before.. but the boys on The Fighting Cock were speculating that they thought it looked like an orbital fracture, and , per similar injuries in boxing, the surgery to correct/stabilize is very invasive and has a long recovery. Obvs, neither them nor I are a maxillofacial surgeons :D

The Daily Telegraph is now reporting that Friday's surgery to repair the 4 fractures to his cheekbone/eye socket has been successful and he should be able to "play some part" in the WC.
