Gomes flaps too much. That said, he is no doubt out of our league and I should think he'll be playing for one of the European big boys next season.
Realistically Jaaskelainen is probably our best bet... But is he that much better than Robbo? What about Niemi when Fulham go down? Or, as someone else mentioned, Sorensen? I've heard that Newcastle are looking for a new keeper - cheeky bid for Given?

I'm sorry, BUT...........

I am fed up to the eye teeth with this "who's our next keeper" speculation.

Yes, Robbo's made a fair few mistakes. But he's also made some cracking saves as well. For the rush out today when Kanu's header was cleared by Zoko Pops, remember also a really fine save from Davis' lob. And lately, the high class saves are far outnumbering the lapses.

Get in a top class goalkeeping coach, spend the summer working on coming out for crosses and defending free kicks and corners - then we'll have a top top keeper back between the sticks without shelling out a penny.

Keep Robbo as number one. All he needs is confidence - not the constant knocking about his time being up. He loves the club and the fans and deserves our unswerving loyalty.

Why not try and get Foster,Cudicini or Jaaskelinen, any of those would be good bets.

Except that he's gone. No doubt in my mind, he'll be sold this summer.
