Torres for a fiver and a twix cheered me right up

But we would be getting a striker that needs to feel welcome for a player that doesnt want to be here I do it but an extra 15mill heading to spurs also

Yes. I'm sure with being the main man he will score plenty. I would seriously consider it. Top strikers are very hard to sign and Torres is still a top striker

Yes, if Modric desperately wanted to join them - Torres showed more than a few glimpses of getting his form back this season and if he starts next season well then he's gonna be around the 15-20 goal mark particularly if Drogba goes and he can be the main man

Not gonna happen tho

This is the kind of post that fuckin astonishes me...like fuckin wet kippers me to the face, you actually believe that replacing OUR BEST player, with a striker who scored less goals than any of ours last season, there in giving a club that finished 6th OUR BEST player & one they really really want because hes that good whilst they give us someone they feel is expendable & to us a team that finished 2 places above them doesnt say it all???

Do you actually watch football?..serious question do u actually watch spurs, modric, adebeyor??....

You seriously think a player that scored less than adebeyor will score more without modric????

Fuckin hell i dispare

God no. Modric should only be sold abroad, preferably to Madrid who might be able to give a decent squad player. Torres is 28 now and has been shit for 3yrs. Would rather get a young striker who's actually good. The only way I'd even consider giving Chelsea Modric is for Ramires and Mata so basically never.

Who would you fancy more in a one on one situation, Torres or a Twix?

Our best player is Rafael van der Vaart, and until Luka Modric proves himself otherwise, that will remain the case.

Ultimately, Modric can be replaced with a player who has far more desire and loyalty to be at this club, there are numerous midfielders out there who can do the same job he does whilst potentially offering more in terms of goals and assists.

Fernando Torres is head and shoulders above any other striker we can possibly sign this summer, we won't get Adebayor, we won't get Llorente. If it means we sacrifice Modric, who we can replace, then so be it.

Criticising the bubble's post and whether he not he "watches football" is pretty pathetic, I could do the same and criticise you for your poor spelling.

There are very few Chelsea (or United) players I'd be interested in - Mata, possibly Ramires. Look at Chelsea's squad on paper and it's pretty poor - all their other good players are very old.

We need £45m cash from an English side, or player+ deals with Barca or Madrid.

I would swap all day every day really. Not that we could afford Torres' wages anyway.

There is still a quality player in there, he needs games and someone like Harry to give him a hug.

We need a world class striker more than we need Modric. Huddlestone, Pienaar and even van der Vaart can play Modric's role
