I really like the work ethic in this current side. Credit has to go to Poch, it was brave to cut so many at once like Adebayor, Paulinho and Kaboul but it seems to be working. If we'd started badly the pressure on him would have been immense.
Yes. In professional football you need strong leadership and team ethics to make it at the highest level, and Poch's 'my way or the highway' approach has certainly made us a much stronger unit. You pull your weight and stay loyal and committed, or you're history - no matter how good a player you are. As long as the results are good even the decisions to discard good players will be easy to justify. My guess is it that the players in the current squad will have got the message by now and will tow the line - hopefully all the way to the CL.
