At least he has press support so we won't get all that negative stuff for a while
It's nice having a big name coach to attract future star signings........ *tumbleweed*
Haha. I'm not sure what the other mods have been saying but maybe we are too sensible for own own goodI hear you but I just can't see what the better option was right here and now.
We simply do not have the time mess about and have a chance of salvaging our season with a degree of continuity. Plus nobody decent is available right now.
I think Levy knows this and has found a middle ground, appeased Sherwood with 18 months but with a speed-dial ready for De Boer and Van Gaal in the summer, in case.
[I appreciate the mods appear not to like Sherwood so if that's a facet then fair enough]
Can't wait to get tactically fucked against a fellow top 7 side...
I have a theory regarding the 2014/2015 business.
Chelsea were heavily criticised for announcing Benitez as "interim manager", with people saying that players didn't care as there would be a new manager next season etc.
I think Sherwood is still being given the remainder of the season to prove himself. If he doesn't do well, I am sure he will still be gone and a new man will come in. It is just trying to create an illusion that we have some stability and are not a managerless club.
We have 5 managers with a 50%+ win ratio.Played 2, Lost 1, won 1 = 50% win ratio. The highest win rate of any Spurs manager since 1882.
How could Levy not give him the job permanently?
If you think Sherwood is an upgrade on AVB I feel bad for you.Your blind faith in AVB and big tantrum following his sacking makes me feel that you are not the best judge of managerial credentials.
Very dissapointed with this i must admit, however he is our new leader and we have to get behind him. I only hope that the fans give him more support then some did when AVB got the job.
