Nice to see our fans giving him a chance :([/quote/]

o come on. People are pissed off that we had no serious plan b. Nothing personal Tim.

I reckon he could do a Redknapp effect with us. Come on TIM!

I support the club, not the people in charge.

Of course I don't want him to fail and trust me, I sincerely hope Tim makes me eat my words but this is an almighty gamble and a step too far from Levy in my book.

Until the end of next season.
Premature and risky.
However he can always sack him if we lose to W.Brom.

And then re-appoint him caretaker.

Every appointment and every signing is gamble

In other words no one other than Sherwood on the list of potential replacements wanted the job.

I'm praying we've really done a deal with Louis van Gaal but don't want to announce it after the farce of announcing Santini earlier and then having to sit through that woeful French campaign.

I'm not sure I've ever been unhappier as a Spurs fan. Think I might just go and watch my local non-league side instead

Its a very...very different game now. Players are ****s and mercenaries, for starters.

couldn't give a fuck who the club appoint as long as he is succesful, people need to get off his back before he has even had a proper chance to coach the team

Played 2, Lost 1, won 1 = 50% win ratio. The highest win rate of any Spurs manager since 1882.

How could Levy not give him the job permanently?

I could fucking cry, he hasn't earned the right to be our head coach.

We have a squad full of quality international players who deserve a manager of the same class. But no, Levy appoints a youth team coach

Respect for AVB who didn't play professionally? And AVBs claim to fame was his tactical "genius" -- you wouldn't know it the way he set Spurs up. And man management? AVB utter fail,.... Overall, international or domestic, players are more likely to respect a former player who won the prem and cares about the club. In short, I have no idea how anyone figures AVB "earned" the right to be Spurs' head coach, but Tim has much more right to it than the little portugee...
I support Spurs new manager -- COYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jimlad:

What an absolute joke of a club we have become. Tim Sherwood? Until the end of NEXT season.
This is going to end badly.
Very badly...

Oh hello Mystic Meg - give the bloke a chance. Seriously some of the negative responses to the news in this thread are pathetic. Lets get behind him and the team, get the Lane rocking again and start to enjoy some decent football. The appointment doesn't particularly excite me, but neither did any of the other potential candidates. He's in charge of our team now so we move on together. COYS!

Please do, if that's your attitude - WHL would be a healthier more positive environment with you not in it.

If it were a 30 month contract I'd be concerned but I'm sure we will
look again in the summer after the World Cup. No sense in picking up the scraps or is anyone is packing up their bags and abandoning their posts.
