On a side note. Just seen that the loyalty point cut off for Swansea away on a Wednesday night was 174?? That's incredible support from our fans.

Don't forget, that LP cut off is for Season Ticket holders only. I cannot think of too many times when away ticket allocation has made it as far as Bronze members. I'm a bronze with 274 points and am still waiting for my first away game!

Stoke and Middlesbrough made it to members early in the season, but generally for the last couple of seasons the cut-off has rocketed due to both the team doing well and the tickets being cheaper.

Think Sunderland recently went to members but that was midweek. Unless lots of ST holders are simply trying to bump up their LPs ahead of a possible Wembley final then the take-up for Swansea is mighty impressive.

P.S. worth noting that a Bronze membership is no different to Lilywhite when it comes to away games. Think the same will apply to the semi-final vs Chelsea too.

Yup, imagine being a season ticket holder like me and you can't get a ticket for Swansea away midweek... :barefoot::banghead:

This is the biggest reason why as a non season ticket holder it is near impossible now to get away tickets. They are £30 max. correct?

In order to gain the LPs, does the club require the ticket to be used like at the Gent game?

Yep £30. The Supporters Trust (who I mostly appreciate and support) are quite brittle about the notion that the price cap has made it near impossible for members, and even some ST holders, to get tickets, but clearly been a factor.

Regarding the process to acquire the LPs, no the Gent game was a one-off. To be fair to the club I don't think a similar system can be enforced for many away games. It's made possible at Wembley by having the electronic turnstiles. Couldn't happen at grounds like Turf Moor or the Hawthorns. Also, the tickets are invariably getting used for the away games, but not always by the ST holder(s) who initially purchased them.

Means I've missed out on the Swansea game which is very disappointing. I've sat in with the home fans a couple of times over the past few seasons including two trips to Monaco.

What's really disappointing is when you hear that season ticket holders are buying tickets to sell them on just so they get the loyalty points.

I believe Man Utd require away fans to pick up their tickets at the away ground on the day with ID, so that the named ST holder has to at least have travelled. An absolute nuisance but the only way I can think of to stop this if the club wanted to.

So due to Leicester going through last night, does it mean our game against Watford will be moved to the Sunday? I thought I read that somewhere.

You are correct, but only if Leicester are drawn to play on the following Tuesday. So we still won't know until after Friday's(?) draw.

Would personally like it to move for wholly selfish reasons but can imagine that it would mess up plans for most people with tickets.

Just applied for Woolwich in East Lower, probably won't have enough loyalty points (144) but can't hurt to try

Most of the games had been around 40 hadn't they?
I selected up to £71 begrudgingly as i get no joy in the west stand at all.

United and Arsenal are sure to be might higher.

I have 134 and have bid West Upper. I'll be amazed if I get a ticket but doesn't hurt to try.

I got City, West Ham and Chelsea tickets, all in the south and I've got less points than you.

E-mail from Tottenham:

For illustrative purposes only, I am going to use a figure of 4,500 tickets available for a fixture.

For a category A fixture, before we run the random ballot, we order all applications in terms of the number of loyalty points and select the top 4,500 members to proceed.

This creates our loyalty point cut-off that we advertise.

Then we run the random ballot, allocating seats at random based on the maximum price entered.

If a member opts to limit the price range they are willing to be considered for when they submit an application they will potentially reduce their chances of success. The loyalty points cut-off that is announced for each Category A home match will not guarantee a ticket in the event that a member has limited the ticket price that they are willing to accept.

Members who surpass the loyalty point total but have restricted the price willing to pay will be offered the chance to purchase any remaining seats after the ballot process is run however, these are likely to be within a higher price level.

So even though she had a backwards way of saying it, it looks like you will be offered a ticket, but might be in higher price band, as long as you make the LP cut.

Makes me want to lower my price band, but I don't dare to do so just to find out they fucked it up somehow.

I'm not first and foremost bothered about the price, but I don't want to be sitting in West Stand. If possible I'd pay those damn £71 for a Park Lane ticket.

Lots of fans, myself included, wouldn't normally be fussed about category A games because they are the most expensive and can be watched on TV. However the NLD is always in much greater demand and the last game at WHL will be a game that everyone wants to get to if possible, and (almost) irrespective of price. Therefore expect the demand (and therefore the LP cut-off) to be more similar to what has previously been for cup finals/semi-finals at Wembley (usually between 160 and 200).

I don't know why they didn't just break the categories up by area of the stadium rather than price brackets and allow for example a member to apply for tickets in South lower/upper and East upper. I'm assuming the ballot is computerised, rather than Levy pulling names out of a hat, so it's not going to be a significantly higher workload to run a couple more ballots.

Every ballot bar Hull has had more applicants than seats available so it would be unlikely this would have resulted in multiple areas with seats left unsold, and it would reduce the number of people being allocated tickets in areas of the ground they would rather not sit in.

I emailed the club towards the beginning of the season regarding this and they just dismissed it out of hand, and I believe the THST also made the same suggestion in one of their meetings and it was similarly ignored. Obviously there's only one ballot left after Arsenal so it's all fairly pointless now, but had they organised it in this way there would be less people disappointed with the way the season's gone ticket wise.
