trix on llorente: This is about as likely as Konoplyanka.

jasper on ms:
getting him or not few weeks back all his noises was he wanted us. I believe we have moved on and hope that is the case. United may come in strong eventually and believe they possibly will. Too much things happen behind closed doors, like us getting Toby. From a selfish point of view love be to see his CL dreams not materialise and stay at S'ton. Wherever he goes once injured expect him to be out for quite a few weeks. Let us now move on and think we have

Southampton will not want to lose face to us again. Even if it all falls into place for us with signings happening elsewhere, I reckon a deal would only be possible at the very end of the window and if M S kicks up a right fuss
Which he no doubt will. He already did last season. Do you remember his famous deleted tweet about not being allowed to go? I don't recall the words, I'm sure it's screenshotted for posterity somewhere. They have to let him leave (assuming he still wants to)

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Unless he has a firm release clause to anyone (not just CL clubs) I cannot see us having a hope with MS now. I still think that he will either stay there or end up at United

As I have posted elsewhere, I'm pretty confident we have moved on. I'm sure if things change from Saints end we'd still be interested but from what I hear we are not currently pursuing MS.

Many lessons have been learned from previous windows.

Can you elaborate on this?

Do you mean we don't hang about anymore?

Proof is, or will be, in the pudding. Fingers crossed.

3 weeks ago MS was # 1 target, the one and only, Pochs purest desire. It sounds foreign to me that we already now genuinely would be so indifferent.
Firmly believe we'd give it one more go if even slightly encouraged to do so.

Thanks Trix

So he was Plan A...thats clear. What worries me is the apparent plan B (imbulla) has already gone

How would we know about MS injury potential unless he has been for a medical or Mitchell may have had some info from his Soton days

Just my opinion: Saints will almost certainly now sell MS. They are already lining up replacements as they know his head has finally gone. They will not refuse to sell to us if we offer the right price.

If Vidal goes to Them, and Bastian goes to Utd, I can't see why we would not revert to MS as main target even if we have also moved on to looking at other targets as well.

He is still one of the best options out there due to familiarity with PL and Poch's system.
