Mental situation. What makes it almost even weirder is that the 22 other squad players are allowed to fly abroad individually to their homes but not as a group to Romania and then Austria. But yeah that means if the game in Austria goes ahead (which UEFA says it will, think of that what you wish) it's a real ragtag Mighty Ducks/Remember the Titans underdog bunch that will be playing for Norway. And if this ragtag manages a two goal win Norway win the group which would be a really funny story.

Some of the emergency players have confirmed their involvement in pretty funny ways.

I saw that Erik Thorsvedt's son, Kristian is being called upon. I like the Mighty Ducks comparison :D All jokes aside, what I don't get, is the whole 'once you've contracted Covid, you're in the clear'. There's reports on people having Covid for the second time so I don't see that logic....

We had a segment on air yesterday in the build-up show to Belgium v England where our studio, including Erik, interviewed Kristian. Bit of fun father-son banter there.

But yeah, can the Mighty Ducks of 2020 upset Austria? It'll be a fun game to follow either way on Wednesday.

A grand total of 5 already-capped players in that Norway squad.

Sissoko starting for France against Sweden in an otherwise strong starting XI. First choice back 4 plus Lloris. Rabiot and Pogba in the middle.

Excited to see thuram on the left who seems to have impressed Deschamps.

Morata should have two goals, that offside was ridiculous.

Spain are having their way with Germany.

that’s some effort from Marcus Thuram there. Good finish by Pavard

Spain 4-0 Germany and an hour hasn’t gone yet. Spain have been good, but Germany have been atrocious. Constantly losing the ball in defensive areas and offering zero going forward.

Spain could have scored ten and I'm not exaggerating.

Can't believe Germany didn't sack Low after their shocking World Cup. It was clearly the end of the road for him but they just couldn't bring themselves to sack a World Cup winning coach. IIRC they've been underperforming ever since then too, especially given the talent in their squad.

Now they have no choice but to go into a tournament with a dud for a coach, or sack him now and give his replacement no time to develop a team.

Spain look great... The way they pressed and harassed.

Germany look so stale.

The alarming thing is that they started the game the stronger side, then conceded from a set piece and everything just went to shit very rapidly after that
