The Sun reporting that Hoffenheim and Monchengladbach both want Onomah.

Probably the right time to sell him if, given our lack of midfield options this season, Poch wasn’t interested in recalling him.
I just don't get selling him without giving him a chance in his actual position, which I think he's had once. Surely, surely he could have done a job this season.

If it’s true he should 100% go, both very decent teams
Nagelsmann will leave Hoffenheim this season so Mönchengladbach is more interesting, they’re looking like they will play in the CL next season and they’ve bought Bennetts from us

Jamie Reynolds had surgery today. I am currently trying to find out what the injury is and how long he will be out for.

Incredibly unlucky for him, because this is, likely, his third long-term (3 months+) injury in under 2 years. Hopefully he will be back in the next few months and earns a contract extension, as he is talented and could, likely, end up playing regular first-team football in the Championship/League One.

Obviously Poch just hasn’t been impressed enough with him. If we get £15m for him, a little future sell-on clause, it’s probably a good deal all round.

I agree. I just find it hard to understand why a very highly rated youth player, who's won for his England age group, wouldn't get a chance in this of all seasons. I'd rather see him given a go than Skipp, who is far from ready.

Poch likes Workhorses over Skill for his CM positions

Simple as that

He’s obviously got the skills, and the physique, so I can only assume it’s application.

And yet Dembele was clearly his favourite central midfielder for a time and Eriksen regularly drops into central midfield for us despite what the formations state...

Eriksen drops into midfield because otherwise the defense and attack are often disjointed, imo.

Dembele, has always been a workhorse, he just happens to be skilful and lets not forget he took a long time to be the dembele we know.

At Fulham he was the player that was leading the league in tackles made

completely lazy and incorrect take. Look at Poch's favorite for that position - Dembele....practically a ballet dancer in that role.

While i really want Josh to make it here I think there is a combo of bad luck (his injuries tend to come at terrible times for him) and perhaps that x factor that the smaller Winks has. Not so sure about my own second point but the last several seasons have been hoping for Josh to have one game where he just grabs it by the scruff of the neck and makes the coaching team take notice of him.

I read that The Players' Tribune article by Lingard the other day and it definitely gave me more hope for Edwards and Onomah.

For me, Josh looks like he's still trying to work out how best to use his body in the men's game.

He's got all the ingredients to make it but has gone from a Rolls Royce at youth level to a guy who looks a little surprised by the physicality. Could even be that he's grown and can't quite find the sweet spot of speed, size and strength yet.

I'd be stunned if he completely disappears off the radar.

Not accurate, In 1 season at Fulham, he made the 2nd most tackles in the league, his other season at Fulham, 69 midfielders (including van der Vaart who made 60 tackles, though played 400 more mins) made more tackles (most tackles Lucas with 172, Dembele made 41).

Winks isn't known for high numbers in tackling, yet appears to be one of Poch's favorite midfielders.

Winks has a got a good workrate and is a strong CM for his size.

Also that that other season for Dembele he wasn't really a CM, he was getting moved around all over the place and was playing as a striker

Winks whilst smaller, is a more physically strong player

Poch prefers workrate and physical players in CM, its clear imo. Veljkovic was a very good DM and didnt even get a look

Also Dembele whilst a ballet dancer is a fucking beast of a DM, Im not saying Poch likes pure workhorse with no skill. Im saying he prefers workrate and physically strong/quick players over skilful players. Dembele happens to be both

mate - I want him to do well. I want him to do well here and he may well do. BUT it is infuriating to hear the criticism of Poch et al for him being where he is from a squad point of view. Poch has shown massive trust in Winks and seems to be doing so with Skipp.....also believe he would have given Amos lots of mins this season but for his injury.
Feel as if Josh and TOB have been unlucky with injuries, form etc. BUT the notion that Poch doesn't care about youth or skill etc. is daft.

Would like to see Josh with a new contract and then a 2 year loan at a club that plays the ball on the ground....maybe a Norwich or even a French or Dutch side. We pay his salary but get to pick the team and his role....not a bad deal for someone (could even offer them an option if we sell or a piece of the TF if we do so). Get him mins in his fav role at the right club with some stability.

As an aside, think we should loan CCV to Atlanta in the MLS!

I haven’t seen this information reported on here or anywhere else, but apologies if it has been:

Former third-year scholar, central-midfielder Zenon Stylianides is currently playing for Omonia Aradippou in the Cypriot Second Division, after being released by QPR last summer.

Former second-year scholar, central-midfielder Christopher Paul is currently playing for Havant & Waterlooville in the National League, after, also, being released by QPR last summer.

Former Under-16 centre-back, Johnly-Levi Yfeko is now at Leicester City, after being released by Spurs this season. I expect he would be given a two-year scholarship there this summer.
