He's a winger. He's not expected to score ten goals a season. Ryan Giggs had 23 seasons as a premier league winger in some of the best sides in PL history and hit double figures twice. His average number of goals per season was five. Zaha is the main man at Palace, he's double marked in almost every game and he still manages to look dangerous in most games. He if played in a side with decent strikers he'd have a lot more assists then he has now.
A better way to consider his numbers would be the percentage of his team's goals he scores/assists.

Wingers had a very different output back in the 4-4-2 days when there were two centre forwards expected to score the goals. Zaha has basically been playing up front for Palace the last two seasons.

I just want Havertz, N'Dombele and AWB...for other positions that need to be upgraded, I would settle for anyone. but unfortunately, those 3 could cost us 200m.

sorry to pick on you, but if we ever do get to sign NDombele I really hope the fans learn how to spell his name eventually:cautious:

Actually on Lyon's official site they spell his name like this: Ndombele (yes, no capital d after the capital N)

You must have selective blindness buddy.
There's talk of Bale, Isco, Verane, Pepe, Perisic and quite a few others, mostly from Madrid.

We couldn't even nail the Grealish signing last season. He has a new contract and new owners at Villa. Ain't happening.

you might of already been picked up on this, but the Madrid players are players we would want in a deal to sell Eriksen to them, no one actually suggested them as a player they want us to go fully in for as a 1 off.

Grealish signed a new deal, which I believe has a release clause in it. no one is expecting him to come unless Villa fail to get promotion. if they do come up, Grealish will want to stay, and I doubt we would even attempt to buy

ITk about opening the purse for players we should not be needing to have ITK for opening the purse for is concerning tbh
Opening the purse strings... for relegation players and Championship Stars!!!

P.S. not against either of the players under the right circumstances but don’t consider that opening the purse strings.

He played with Hull up to 16 so I’m not sure this true...
You have to be trained by an English club for 3 years between the ages of 15 - 21, so he doesn't count as HG in the CL.

Edit: Here is the actual UEFA wording and link to the details about it on their website.

"UEFA defines locally-trained or 'homegrown' players as those who, regardless of their nationality, have been trained by their club or by another club in the same national association for at least three years between the age of 15 and 21."

On Skybet, the shortest odds on players we might sign are 4/7 Sessegnon, 1/1 Perisic and 2/1 Grealish

Am really hoping we are trying hard for this one...

Have we missed the Bus on this signing already? I remember when his name started being bandied about it was around November. Should have done a deal in January and got him tied up and sent back on loan to Swansea.

We lead to believe that we dont have the financial resources of the other top 5 clubs, therefore we have to work smarter and differently and strike early deals on such talent.

Dont we have a player on loan at Swansea? Would we not have been checking his progress?

I would love to see us become the Ajax of the PL. We have a brilliant coaching team and we all as fans agree we don't want to BUY trophies, so buy the "right" talent early after proper scouting.

Yeah CCV's over there and hopefully we've noticed this jet-heeled kid whilst keeping an eye on his progress.
Maybe already had a word in his shell like, too.
