What we do in the FB area will be interesting.

I'd be gobsmacked if you don't bring in at least one RB. I can see all of Aurier, Trips and KWP all leaving.

LB isn't quite nailed on as Rose has started to show glimpses of getting back to his best. But even at his best his delivery isn't quite there and never will be. Davies imo should be kept due to his flexibility.

Either way there is no shortage of quality FBs around that would fit in well. Tierney, Grimaldo, Atal, WB et al.

No excuses to sort something there.

To me it looks as if it's time for Rose to move on - the way he talks to the press I sense there is "something" that's not right with him. And there are still questions about his fitness. A fully fit Rose - physically as well as mentally - was one of the best LBs in the EPL. He's served the club well. But there was a reason why he almost joined Schalke last summer.
Personally I'd like to see Spurs sign both Tierney and Ryan Sessegnon. Ben Chilwell would cost too much I presume.
I'd keep Davies as he can play both LB and LCB and, as pointed out, doesn't mind not being a regular.
Barca are in the marked for a replacement (not immediate) for Jordi Alba, and we know Barca often prefer to resign their former players; so I wouldn't surprised if they have a Grimaldo buy-back clause they can trigger and get him back on the cheap.

I'd be surprised if both of them left, because they're HG. One of them will probably stay to act as a back-up squad player.

Unless, of course, a HG player is brought in to replace them.

Don't think KWP will be going anywhere. One of Trippier/Aurier should go though.

Out of all the duds...I'd be willing to keep Aurier around for another season. There needs to be a closeout liquidation sale for:

Wanyama
Trips
Davies
Lamela
Janssen

Vorm and Llorente are out of contract so they are gone anyway.

If 50M - 60M can't be raised from the above, something is wrong. That's a stud CM or FB! I'll take that trade all day.

60m gets levy his money back

Full backs is the key area to improve imo. Atel a lot of people talk about but i'm not convinced that style of full back is what we need too much risk in his game basically a dribbling full back. KWP (imo) dynamically is better but seems odd Poch doesn't trust him fully yet. I have been thinking about Aurier again he might still have a future at the club he is by far much better defensively than Trippier I thought to he's forward play for pretty good but injuries has curtailed him.

I keep changing my mind as it stands now I would be ok with Aurier KWP next season / sell all three and start again but 100% sell Trippier.
I like Danny Rose but I feel he has to many things running in his head also he is totally useless with his final ball , I feel we need to move him on and upgrade. Davies is pretty solid defensively and can cover LCB so I'd keep him (never thought i'd say that's some seasons back)

who'd be a manager- its gonna be painful

I think we need improvements at both FB positions and CM. We also need to add creativity if Eriksen leaves.

I really like Rose and his sheer determination and will to win, but I also think he has peaked physically, suffers more from injuries and right now we'd still get a decent price for him. Plus he wants to move back up north. If we had the funds I'd like Chilwell form Leicester. Davies remains a very decent defender and good back up at LCB if we play 3 at the back so I'd keep him, especially as Poch's pressing system requires FBs to be physically at their peak so rotation is likely

Trippier and Aurier both fall worryingly short at RB and I'd like us to sign a really top RB (the Palace lad is obviously in demand but we are London based, a CL team (hopefully), have amazing stadium and training ground, a manager renowned for making FBs brilliant and should be at the front of the queue). I'd also promote KWP (now 22) to number 2 and with rotation would get regular game time too.

The other area we need to improve on is CM. I have watched a lot of Grealish this year and think we'd be perfect for us. Also depends on how fit Winks and Wanyama are going to be next year, so we might need another body.

I really hope we can keep Eriksen but would be amazed if he didn't want Real Madrid if they are indeed after him, or that Levy would not sell given he has 12 months left. I'd also hope we can keep Alderweireld, but if we can't I think in Dier and Foyth we have enough back up to Vertonghen and Sanchez (who would become first choice in a 4-2-3-1, and actually were for much of last season).

Overall, I'd like to maintain a young, British core to the squad, get back to being an aggressive side that presses high, and dominates teams.

OUT:
Rose (£30M)
Eriksen (£75M)
Alderweireld (£26M)
Llorente (nominal fee for a swansong in La Liga)
Janssen (free)
TOTAL: £131M

IN:
Chilwell (£40M)
Wan-Bissake (£40M)
Grealish (£40M)
Sessegnon (£30M)
Van de Beek (£60M) (might be a pipe dream as all the top clubs will want him, but why not have a go?)
TOTAL £210M

TOTAL NET SPEND £81M

Lloris
Wan-Bissaka Sanchez Vertonghen Chilwell
Dier/Winks
Van de Beek Grealish
Dele
Kane Son

Subs from: Gazza, KWP, Davies, Foyth, Dier/Winks, Wanyama, Lamela, Sessegnon

-------

EDIT:

Not sure why some fellow spurs fans are laughing ... why undersell ourselves? We are a regular CL club, have one of the highest rated managers in the world, one of the (if not THE) best stadiums in the world, one of the (if not THE) best training facilities in the world, and importantly have stability between our Chairman and Manager. We also have the England captain (should be a big draw for English players), and a track record for playing and developing young players.

That team gives me sexual feelings, just a shame it won’t happen

I agree that both could be really good signings but having low clauses does not mean they'll come cheap. Players now a day know their (over) values very well, mainly thanks to their shrewd agents; so neither of them will come that cheap if big money clubs are after them.
Look at Aaron Ramesy's contract with Juve (if the rumours of him earning 400,000 a week are true).

True, but you would like to think, in a scenario where we lose Eriksen for around 60-70mill, and we can wrangle a fee of £25m-£30m for either JB or HZ, there is some wiggle room to offer them more in wages, Ziyech for example won’t be on anymore than 35k-40k a week, so we could 2.5x his wages to 100k and still not be absolutely breaking the bank, same applies to Brandt I feel!

Think your valuations of Wan-Bissaka and Chilwell are about £20m off
